"Oneirovisualisators"

The name looks askew or mis constructed all right, but the technology is even more bizarre. It was mentioned by R.N Boyd in an article on the net. Oneiro in Greek means dreams. The implication is clear. This is some sort of a dream generating machine. The matters do not end there. This machine according to Boyd projects dreams captured from a person into a TV screen. He maintains that this machine would lead to machines which could and convert internal audio thoughts to external audio. Thus “we would be able to hear what a person thinks”

According to him “Technology to trigger dreams and hallucinations in persons from a distance with properly engineered microwaves has been available since the 1970's.”

He also mentions that he first noticed this technology ("Oneirovisualisators" ) in 1991. When one of his readers commented that devices to influence people from a distance are not currently available he provided a link about the existence of such technology. I followed the link to the article and could not make head or tail of it. Too esoteric I think. If any one is interested in perusing the article here is the link to it: http://www.rialian.com/rnboyd/magnetic-brain-activity.htm

The article details the experiments conducted with computers and other electronic equipment on human brain. Some of it is too technical and “learned”. I have nothing against such approaches of course. It is thoroughly scientific, and may be necessary when addressing an enlightened audience. Any way you could gather enough data from it that altered states of consciousness could be evoked externally by electronic stimulation.

Brain mapping addresses the same issue. There are commercially available software’s for the purpose. Sports men seem to like it, for these are widely used in the field. Most of these software’s makes use of the subliminal messaging technology, which I find disturbing.

“Priming” effect is also said to be brought in to play by these software’s. Priming is the activation of the mind by association. It is observed that certain sights and sensory stimulations bring forth alertness on the part of an individual to other related phenomena. The smell of soap in the air induces a desire to be clean…. and the like. There are innumerable instances of such subconscious reaction with human beings. This is utilized to program the individual for efficiency.

Slowly we are being converted to robots that could be programmed and controlled remotely. Some of these intrusions are invited as in the case of the sports men. To me such efforts at motivating an individual are bound to end in troubles later.
