The meaning and presence of Cruelty

Words may have ‘personal ‘meanings and these meanings may have nothing to do with what the dictionary says about them. We tend to associate certain experiences with certain words. To me cruelty has always been a big word, one which I used to describe all inhuman practices. I sort of conceived the word with an image of fangs dripping with blood and lethal eyes burning with hatred and expressing in them a terrifying satisfaction at the helplessness of the prey. But the actual meaning of the word is far from satisfactory. It primarily talks about what we do to the animals and not what some animals in the human form do to the rest.

The Dictionaries can be so unbelievable pedestrian! So let us look somewhere else.
The first name which comes to the mind in this connection is of Antonin Artaud, he invented the theatre of cruelty. Though his usage of the word and his conception of the word has different connotations, he is more near to my idea of cruelty than any one else.
Artauds conception of reality is interesting. It includes the internal as well as the external in its sphere. Thus dreams and other such phenomena were very real to Artaud. This sort of contrasts with his notion of the theatre and the texts being banal and unreliable. He wanted to be ‘cruel’ on the spectators to drive home the real version over the masked version of life. But he was not really understood in his own times and most of his plays did not appear in public. The man was very sick too with an addiction to opium or its derivatives. Another “cruel” thing he had to undergo was being subjected to electro convulsive therapy to cure his insanity.
Though to him sadism was not one of the components of his conception of cruelty, the basic idea employs violent and terrifying intent in that it aims to shock the audience into the realization of what life actually is. He thought it was necessary to break people out of their inertia and that his method would bring out the hidden wickedness inside man and society to the surface. He never considered theatre to be a true copy of reality. It is a much more dangerous form of reality. It was his idea to lead spectators to what he called a “world that is bloodthirsty and inhuman". This is more like what I had in mind about cruelty.
This is not an article about Artaud and his conceptions of life and theatre, but about the subject of cruelty as I understand it. It has universality in the sense that every dominant society has this element of cruelty in it and is thus essentially oppressive to those that is within it and to those that is being taken over by it. I find a curious echo of the modern reality in Artauds views about cultural colonization. His politics would be very relevant to these times. Writing with the induced transition of Mexico in mind, he states that the inevitable result of such colonization would be self destruction and mental slavery.
This is what cruelty is about; the brutal and inhuman disregard to others lives, rights and freedom and not what the animal rights activists consider it to be.

On contradicting oneself and on Jung

When going back through my blog posts I find some minor contradictions in my views on some subjects, and to tell you frankly, I do not bloody mind. These are small deviations, but nonetheless deviations, though I have mostly kept to the same broad line of thought. You see people are not like computers or robots to be so unerringly on track always. They deviate, even hold conflicting views on the same subjects as time passes. I have had occasions where I held one view in the morning and another in the evening! Well don’t panic, not really, that is a gross exaggeration! Yet I believe that our views and idea’s on life and can change like that. Some times even a split second is enough to transform our ideas on the world.
Let us assert our right to be so unpredictable, but be sure that you will provide the rest of the world with an explanation if any cosmic changes happen in your thoughts, though that is not likely even if you want to try it very much. The mind, like all else, has a level of inertia. It would fight like hell against any change. You should try to do it, I advise you, try changing the whole set up inside your thinking apparatus, not smash it altogether, for you may have nothing to build it back. The mind and its expressive vehicle the thought are not monoliths. Mind is more like a collection of broken pieces of looking glass which reflect the same reality in different ways. So conflict and contradictions are not that unusual.
Think on what Walt Whitman has said in his inimitable style. This is from his Leaves of Grass.
“Do I contradict myself?
Well then,
I contradict myself,
I am large, I contain multitudes.”
I particularly like the idea of being large and containing multitudes. This is gigantic, only Whitman could have expressed it so, talk about knocking (hitting) the nail on its microscopic head!
On serious consideration (in case I was not serious up to now!), Whitman’s statement is so true, we bring with us the whole experience of the universe into the world. This is truer about our human inheritance. Jung was so fixated on this theory that he devised terms for the hidden aspects of our unconscious mental activity and our mind. Archetype is one such. He, in one of his earlier works believed that these are the remnants of our past struggles in life on the social level and though they are few in number would invade the mind in the form of unlimited number of images which are connected with our living reality. Later he switched on to a more esoteric sort of definition, connected with the subtle material of thought called the elementals. Even in this sense these are the hereditary gift of the human kind. So it follows that certain thoughts that we have may be the recollection of such things in the past and certain tendencies we exhibit may also be the result of this universal thought force acting on your psyche.
In essence we are always influenced from without or our race’s past and its deeds. If it is so, it makes it easier for those elements in society who are power hungry to influence you by taping on to the archetypal structure of your mind. I do not wonder that Jung enjoys such respect from most of the modern Para psychological researchers. His books and theories have become the foundations on which the current techniques of mind control are based. These seem highly successful too. Mere beaming of energy into people is not enough to influence them. Even when you beam voices the natural inertia of the mind and brain would nullify its effects. But if it has some property to link to the underlying archetypal the effort would be rewarded.
I think Jung is to be read and understood by everyone who is feeling the effects of external control. It might give them an idea of the line of attack, not that it would provide you with any clues to combat it, but then who knows. If you take a hundred minds every one of them are unique, what if some one finds something in Jung which could be made use of.
So read Carl Gustav Jung. If you find something interesting in him, please let me into it too.

Energizing Brain

Our brain is a complex mechanism. It contains millions of cells capable of connecting to other cells in ten to fifty ways. This gives it a computing power unimaginable. But none of it is being utilized at present. Even the most intelligent among us only uses only a small part of this mechanism and our normal activities are conducted by the reptilian brain as it is called.
Yet our brain has not become as dexterous or as competent as most of our body parts. This is because every single action of our body has been perfected by thousands of years of competition while our brain had but little competition in the world that we live. We do not have rivals in this world capable of pitting against us intellectually. This has left our brain at a very poor state of development compared to rest of our body parts. One reason why we can build machines that match us or out shine us in the process of assimilation and use of data is because of this slow development of brain. But if we want to create a robot which is capable of doing the same things we do with the same dexterity, it is not easy. Some of the modern Hi-End robots are now just in to the realm of insects as far as design is concerned.
But what we are concerned here is not the design or capabilities of computers and robots. Is there any method by which we can energies this giant thing we carry inside our skull (often for ornamental purpose) and make use of it in constructive ways? The brain has been established as the seat of mind more or less by the science. It has also been found that the organ functions by an electrochemical process of shifting of Potassium and Sodium from inside and outside cells. This is the cause of the electrical potential which travels forth to various parts of the body with instructions.
We have seen that most of our action is controlled by the reptilian brain and that most parts of the brain are unused. This can be rectified by Yoga. Several studies have established that the practice of Yoga considerably improves the functioning of the brain.
This is more so in the case of Pranayama. As we know, our normal breathing is involuntary. This process is under the control of medulla oblongata, autonomic nerves and the chemicals circulating in the body. By pranayama exercise this involuntary process can be brought under the will of the practitioner. I had out lined what pranayama could do to help us and what it actual practice aims at in some of my earlier blog posts. Bringing in more oxygen into the body alone cures many of the ailments of the body. But by using the power of imagination we can further enhance the development of our brain by sending the subtle force called prana into it.
So at all times imagine that purified prana is being sent to the brain when you practice pranayama. If you can couple it with controlling your animal urges, such as libidinal urges you will see an immediate improvement in the functioning of the brain. Your memory would improve and your mental reaction time will surprise you. I have experienced this myself. So this practice is advised. You do not have to go in for the more difficult practices of Pranayama for it. Just Nadi Sudhi type would do. Try it and reap rewards. I believe that this would alleviate some of the toxicities created by harmful electronic and magnetic radiation

Japa Yoga for relief

In our land there is a science of worship called the Japa Yoga. It is a curious Science. The practitioners of this system believe that by the repetition of certain mantras or holy words one can bring about a transformation to the mind and achieve certain goals. The origin of the system is in the Tantra Sastra... This is the easiest of all the practices of Yoga and is said to be as effective as others. One drawback of this Yoga technique is that it relies on initiation from a Guru to start one on his practice. We will be examining if this is really necessary It is believed that the Guru can transfer certain hidden powers with the initiation to the disciples. But there is also a practice of reciting the holy names commonly used in the land to refer to various gods and goddesses to achieve the aims sought. For this practice no initiation is necessary. What is required is your perseverance and belief.
Well what is the Japa Yoga? Can it be used elsewhere in the world and for purposes of obtaining relief from pain and suffering? Is it effective as it is thought to be? Who is the authorized person to engage in the practice? Well we will try to find out in this article. As the primary aim of this article is to provide some help to those afflicted by bodily and psychically debilitating conditions a detailed explanation of the philosophy behind the system is not intended here. For those who are after that there could be any number of available sources. Yet most of the major points of the system are looked into for helping the reader with the practice.
First of all, the system is not as simple as it looks. Most of the mantras used in it are sort of codes for describing a particular nature of energy. This energy is often pictorially represented in reliefs or idols and in certain higher practices in Yantras, in front of which you practice the discipline. The Indian Gods and Goddesses would look bizarre to the western mind. Some of them have many heads and numerous hands, some have the faces of an elephant or lion attached to a normal body, some sit on lotuses and some on thrones, some have several companions and carries strange and weird instruments and weapons in their hands.
All this is the result of a colorful imagination of the people and is far from the reality if one may say so. As I mentioned above they are just pictorial representations of energy states and they are etched so with the intention of driving certain points into the minds of the practitioners. When repeating the mantra the practitioner needs to visualize the representation of the deity and think about the meaning of the mantra. The constant effort at visualization and thinking about the meaning of the mantra and its Deveta (deity) creates a subtle force. This force is considered as the child of the practitioner and is not the same as any other practitioner’s conception of the same deity. Some Tantriks say that the coming together of your lips to form the word/mantra could be compared to copulation. It produces an offspring which is your own. In fact this force is so individual in the sense that it is entirely created by your own efforts and is wholly dependant on you for manifestation. If the same god or goddess is worshipped by two people in this manner the result would be two such forces and not one and same force appearing before two different practitioners.
One definition of Tantra is that it saves your physical self (Tan= Tanu = Body, Tra= save) from troubles. There are other definitions too. We may not go into them here. Tantra is a very practical science. It believes that certain practices or efforts would bring about certain results. It is wholly humanistic in this sense. The Mantra’s are the focal point of Tantra. Nothing can be accomplished without Mantras. I had provided a definition of Mantra in one of my previous posts. Yet I would give it here once more. The word has two parts “Man” = thought, and “Tra”= save. If the Tantra is the science of saving your body the Mantra is the science of being saved by the process of thinking.
Armed with this information you can start on a practice of Japa Yoga to alleviate your troubles. Accept some holy man / women of your land or culture as the model for your devata and infuse them with all properties that you want for a particular cause. For instance if you want relief from mental torture imagine that this deity has the potential to eliminate this affliction. Next you need a Mantra. You can take the name of the holy man/women as the mantra. Say, you want relief from electronic harassment, stalking, and so on. Look at those words and ideas and form a single expression which would contain all these elements with the solution for them. Attach this to the Holy name you found, like “Jesus, reliever of all pains”. I know that this is being done even now. But there is an important difference in this practice I am suggesting to you. This Jesus the reliever would be your own, the child of your mind and would have no reference to the historical Jesus other than in the name. I am not suggesting that you should use this particular name. It could be St Francis or St Augustine, or Anal Haq the sufi or any one who captures your interest. As far as possible you might select a personality for the purpose you have in mind. A holy personage known for healing the sick would be more to the purpose here than one who has been practicing asceticism.
You need not be a believer to do this. And you do not need a Guru to do this. What we are doing here is creating a physical force to help us, with the power of our thoughts. This is thought force. Once you have selected the entity and infused it with all the properties that you want, you go into intense practice. You visualize this saint and repeat the name internally while imagining that the saint is removing all your pains and is in constant contact with you repelling all attacks on you and so on. If you are preserving enough it would happen even without the sacred words. Let me tell you repeating OM a billion times would not save you if you do not think constantly of its meaning and visualizing its sphere of activity. Mere repetition would get you no where, at the same time purposeful meditation on the name with its internal recitation would become soon effective.
Try this if you are resourceful.

From radio frequencies to radionics!

In my search for a method to combat this evil in our midst, namely the phenomenon of non consensual mind control of the masses, I had tried to look into every field of human thought and endeavor I could find for a solution. None is really forthcoming till now. But we can’t let it remain at that. Mere defense is not going to get us anywhere. The enemy is strong and well equipped for that. They have the backing of ignorant political elite and the resources to startle any. Unfortunately to root out this evil completely the change must come from within in them. But considering the human nature it is not going to happen easily. Man has retained the wilder urges that urge the lesser species to maul and murder other beings. But in their case it could be said that they are doing it to survive and they are not aware of the cruelty involved in their actions. This animal lust should have left man long ago with the development in intellect. But strangely it has progressed in the other direction. The more finely the improvement in intellectual activity the more subtle the criminal tendency has become.
At the same time we can’t lose hope in this manner, for there have always been people in the world who had tried to overcome this genetic urge to inflict pain in others and derive satisfaction from it. There have been people like father Damien and Baba Amte for instance both working with the afflicted to relieve their pain. There could be any number of such instances and it is not necessary to cite them all. As long as there are such people in the world there is hope. Granted that even their efforts may be used to the detriment of others by the scrupulous. But there is nothing to do about it. Our duty at this time is to search for options that we have in our fight against the evil.
As I told you I have done some search on the subject and am of the opinion that every avenue should be investigated to find relief from these wicked attacks. It is how the field of radionics came to my view. To tell you frankly I do not have great faith in this branch of science if you can call it that. None of their theories can be proved in any satisfactorily scientific way. But that should not deter us from considering even these as remedies. In fact it is not much different from what modern technology is doing to the world at present- using machines to harness energy and beam it to specific places. The radionic devises claim to be as efficient or more efficient than them. Several hundreds of people are said to be using these devises in the world. There are available software’s on the subject too. The whole system relays heavily on other magical systems like numerology (I have not yet found any reason to believe in it- it seems a remnant of Pythagorean times.) But yet we can’t dismiss every option thus when we are running out of all options. I suggest that this branch of knowledge be studied and made use of by the victims of mind control if they have the time and energy to do so.
Some claims by certain radionic software developers seem to be a little far fetched. But there is evidence of electronic machinery influencing subtle and invisible forces in the universe. What if these experimenters have found something useful? As everything is material, and our thought is known to influence the environment, I think their theory is not that far of the mark. It is said that some of the software’s developed have wonderful powers of persuading people to do things, change their life style, earn friends, resolve enmities, find jobs, and several things besides. If one percent of what they are claiming is true, I think that this branch of knowledge should be taken seriously. Any way trying to learn more about it would be a good idea. You can find such sites by typing in radionics in your browser.
Try your luck with it, but if you do not succeed, do not blame me for it. It is suggestion outlining a new possibility and I am not an expert on the subject. Some of the software’s cost a bit of money. But there could some which could be obtained free or for trial. Don’t purchase anything on my words but learn about theory and decide for yourselves whether it has any usefulness (other than spending money). One needs to clutch at straws in times of dire trouble.
Good luck guys with this new field (that is, if it is new to you)

OnTransactional Analysis

I had found the works of Eric Berne once very interesting. His book on “Games People Play’ was intriguing for me... He introduced a new concept into psychology, the Transactional Analysis. It simplifies human social activities into the realm of Stimulus- Response. This is essentially a Behaviorist approach. This group of psychologists does not take the existence of mind for granted. To them the chemical activities of the brain is more important. So psycho- analysis a la Freud is not their forte, they rely on observable and tangible phenomena for their analysis. The theory being there is no organ in the body called the mind.

Behaviorism goes way back, you would probably recall the experiments of Pavlov on dogs which are still used in educational theories. Eric Berne and his followers made wide use of the works of neurologists in developing their theory. Penfield’s researches into the brain had established that the human brain performs like a high fidelity tape recorder (now we may probably call it a digital recorder). Certain points of the brain of the patients who were being operated upon were stimulated with the use of electrodes during surgery. This brought forth a recall of certain events in their past. Almost invariably these events were linked to the emotional experiences of the time. Tastes, smells, emotional responses were all recorded in detail inside the brain and they retained their original clarity even decades afterwards.

These discoveries more or less made the seat of the human consciousness at the brain. Berne relied more on the works of R. Spitzs for the development of his theory. Spitz, working with infants, had found that unless they are stroked, fondled etc they would sort of fade away and would fall prey to various illnesses. This was the theory behind Berne’s concept of stimulus- hunger. Such stimulus –hunger is evident in individuals shut up inside solitary cells according to Berne. The total absence of stroking would even bring forth psychosis in such persons.

But the human child grows up. It can not be stroked and fondled always. Then what happens is that the physical stroking is replaced with more subtle forms of stroking. This is a compromise on the part of the individual. Praises form the major part of this kind of stroking. This comes through recognition. The individual hungers after recognition and if it is not provided the phenomenon of fading occurs. This is the basis of Berne’s conception of recognition –hunger.

The basic factor in these hungers is the Stroking, and Berne take it as a fundamental unit of social action and he says that exchange of strokes between individuals in a social situation constitutes a transaction, from this Berne moves on to the need for structuring time. Stroke or recognition is necessary for survival. But the social intercourse does not merely consist of exchanging strokes with each other. It requires further work, that of filling up of waking hours with activity. This comes in the form of structuring time or structure -hunger. It requires the involvement of all the members in a given situation. The operational aspect of this activity is called by Berne as programming. According to him there are three types of programming, Material Social and Individual. All work comes under the material category. Good manners etc come under Social category. Individual programming is the aspect from which games originate.

He theorizes that the bulk of social activity consists of playing games. In these games activities from suicide to cannibal feasts may be included. That is, the games are not mere games they are often serious activities. He has categorized the effort to structure time into five groups. 1. Rituals 2.Pastimes 3. Games 4. Intimacy and 5. Activity. These transactions happen between individuals with the aim of obtaining satisfaction. They are generally devised to help people find equilibrium and relieve tension.

Berne makes use of his method of Transactional Analysis to throw further light on the subject of games. His basic concept is that human personality is divided into three parts. This he calls the 1.Parent. the 2. Adult and the 3. Child. These are not technical terms. In fact the system uses such colloquial terms to make the concepts intelligible to the layman. This is how the three parts of personality is described by Berne.

Parent

Ego states which resemble those of parental figures

Adult

Ego states which are automatically directed towards objective appraisal of reality

Child

Ego states which were fixated early in child hood

Berne says that an individual would exhibit one of the above states in any one moment in his life. The above statements do not require many explanations to make their meanings clear.

Yet the parent and child are said to be exhibited in two ways. In one the person takes on the role of the parents being authoritarian, in the second instances he acts in the way his parents asked him to. As for the Child it is exhibited in two ways, the adapted and natural child. The natural child is spontaneous, but the adapted child acts as a child in the manner that his parents wanted him to.

The Adult in the individual is necessary for survival. The parent part on the one hand makes many of our responses automatic helping us to save time and on the other hand helps us to bring up our own children. And the Child in us is the seat of all the creativity, intuition and spontaneous drive and enjoyment. Thus all aspects are needed for survival of the individual in one regard or the other.

All human transactions involve the activation of one or more parts of the personality in persons who are interacting. Thus there can be complimentary, simple or crossed transactions due to the preponderance of various parts of the personality. These are generally the cause of troubles and problems in an individual’s life. The main theme of the book is that people play various games to obtain strokes and to structure time. It is argued that early on in life people take on certain life positions and plays on according to their influence. The only escape route is to stop playing games and attain autonomy. But Berne is of the view that most would find it difficult to survive without the games which structure time in their lives. Also the relationships of the person with others are formed or severed by the help of games. They are significant in this sense. But mostly games are debilitating. According to Berne autonomy from games rids a person of the debilities imposed by them.

Only few individuals can replace these with what he calls the “awareness” “spontaneity” and “intimacy”. These could be described as follows. Awareness is being aware of this moment, the present in its essence, Spontaneity is living in the present and intimacy is the relationship bereft of any limiting selfish feelings between two individuals.
Some time has passed since I came across the book. I wonder whether this approach is still fashionable, or if it is still used to correct emotional disturbances in individuals. More researches into the nature of brain and its functioning have been conducted in the world. Though following the descriptions of the games are interesting I have some doubts on the efficacy of the system in these times. The whole system of Transactional Analysis seems to be rather simplistic in approach to me. It limits itself to the analysis of the period after the birth of the individual (or more precisely from the point the child starts to make responses to stimuli) and does not take hereditary factors into consideration. The individual is a repository of the experience of humanity and that determines some aspects of his behavior. It would be too simplistic to ascribe them wholly to Parent.

Also the system does not deal with induced states of fissure in individuality by methods like Hypnosis. Perhaps multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia could be explained away in some manner. But there are things like altered states of consciousness and the subtle practices like shifting of consciousness which has been proved achievable; there is also the brutal method of splitting the personality into different segments unrelated to each other and programming them for various nefarious purposes. The psyche of the modern man is buffeted from all sides by subliminal and electronic stimuli and even personality of the individual is not taken as granted. Some in the world are trying to turn most of the human race into remote controlled robots. In such a scenario would methods of treatment and analysis like Transactional Analysis be useful?

I do not know. Perhaps you do?

Pranayama Explained

I have been saying so many things about Pranayama for some time now. So it would but be decent to explain what it really is. The following is strictly based on original Texts on the subject.

Types of Pranayama

The word Pranayama is made up of two parts, Prana (air or life force if you prefer) and Ayama ( to block). Combined they give a meaning of blocking of Prana. There are three types of Pranayama.

1 Rechaka Pranayama 2. Pooraka Pranayama 3. Kumbaka Pranayama . I will explain them further.

Rechaka Pranayama

Rechaka means to expel. In this type of Pranayama the practitioner to expels all air from the lungs and blocks the breath on the outside without letting the air in to the lungs.

Pooraka Pranayama

Pooraka means to fill. In this the air is taken in slowly till all your nadis( nerves) are filled with it. You might wonder how we can “fill” nadis( nerves) by air. In the science of Yoga Prana is not merely air, it contains universal life force in it. It is this life force which is supposed to fill the Nadis.

Kumbaka Pranayama

Kumbaka means to block. This consists of blocking the air from going out once the lungs are filled with it. It is not really that different from Pooraka Pranayama. Kumbaka Pranayama has been divided into two types.

1. Sahitha Kumbaka and 2. Kevala Kumbaka

Sahitha Kumbaka

Sahitha means “with”. The meaning in the context is ‘Kumbaka with effort”. There is Pranayama or kumbaka with effort and without effort. This will become clear in the next section. Here it would suffice to know that blocking Prana (air) outside or inside your body is called Sahitha Kumbaka. Thus as you can see there are two types of Sahitha Kumbaka. Rechaka Kumbaka and Pooraka Kumbaka.. These are the same as Rechaka Pranayama and Pooraka Pranayama.

Kevala Kumbaka

This can not be “practiced”; it would have to “happen’ to you. I will explain it. In this Kumbaka or Pranayama the breath gets blocked without any effort either inside or outside of your body . This occurs after practicing Sahitha Kumbaka for some time, some considerable time mind you. It is the most natural outcome of the Sahitha Kumbaka. To me it happens all the time. Some times I would be sitting without breathing for some time before I become aware of it. To make it ‘happen’ you need to practice both the Sahitha Kumbaka’s for some time, the Rechaka variety and the Pooraka variety. Rechaka Kumbaka is a little difficult. You can not block air out side your body as long as you can block it inside.

There are two other varieties within the above Pranayama’s .These are called the 1.Sagarbha Pranayama and 2.Agarbha ( Vgarbha) Pranayama’s. Let me explain these

Sagarbha Pranayama

Sagarbha means included. In the context it means the practice of Pranayama with internal recitation of Mantra and taking count of the length of time you do the Pranayama. This is the Pranayama which is practiced with the recitation of OM. The practice is like this, you recite Om for 16 times while expelling the breath through your right nostril. And then fill in the air through left nostril reciting OM for 32 times. Then you hold in the breath inside reciting Om for 64 times. While holding the breath thus you also should think about the meaning of OM.

Agarbha ( Vigarbha) Pranayama.

Agarbha means not included .In this you do the same as above minus the count and the recitation. You expel air through the right, inhale through the left and hold it inside all without any count or recitation of Mantra. There are no rules in this Pranayama. You can practice at your pace. Expel, take in and hold in the air as long as you can.

As far as I know this is the best technique to make the Kevala Kumbaka ‘happen”. In the earlier technique the counting and recitation takes up all our attention and thus defeating the very aim of the practice, that of gaining inner knowledge.

The hidden consensus for mass domination

The world as become unipolar in more than one way. It is not that ideological differences have been sorted out, but an alliance has been formed above and over these differences to the detriment of the general public. Echelon is such an example. It is a world wide alliance of countries to form a net work of information. All known communication devises in the world is being monitored in this manner. The alliance is formed between the wealthiest and the most powerful countries in the world. It is not surprising that Communist China is a member of this alliance. They are the upcoming giant in the world politics. Their approach towards capitalism has undergone a great change in the last few decades. They have realized the importance of incentives and personal initiatives.
My concern has been this, why this convergence, what has prompted it, what is the force acting behind such a turn of events. The demise of Soviet Union in itself could not have been the cause of this development. Even Gorbachev did not for see the events succeeding his doctrine of Glasnost and Perestroika. Other forces took over and the Union fell apart. This has resulted in a vacuum in the balance of powers. I know that the theory of the balance of powers is not an answer to the problems of the world. But it prevented countries like America in taking over the world with their muscle power unhindered by any one. Marx’s economic theory could not have saved the fate of Soviet Union. It was faulty and was based on data which were no longer applicable. Hence a change in the nature of government in the former USSR was apparent. The convergence of interests I am talking about was taking place even before this phase
But the world was changing still and a new form of repression was rearing its head. Though Orvel’s 1984 did not fulfill its prophesies the general trend remains the same the world over. He had shrewdly observed that total neglect of individual liberty by those in power and all pervasive surveillance would be the order of the day in such a society. This is happening now. Such things have been stated many times over and do not need to be repeated.
The main concern is what is to be done against this impending doom. Can we sit back and allow a few imbeciles to take over our minds and the world because they think it is the only right course left to man? There have always been men like Galbraith and company who fanatically believed that the world should be rid of its ‘retarded’ segment of population. You might think that these are the ravings of a few mad men, but do not be complacent, it is already happening, because tools of mass mind manipulation is available today and strangely men like Galbraith are always close to the power centers.
When I first heard about the Illuminati I thought, man this could not be possible, fathers raping and sodomising children to make them fit for future work in the order without the least compunction. How could such things be possible? Yeah I know we Indians are inordinately sensitive, we cry and laugh like children, we shiver when inhuman cruelties are described in our hearing; we get agitated when faced with callous behavior. But my sensations has nothing to do with what I felt when I went through those accounts. Is it cruelty, is it bestiality, can the more tough timbered occidental minds put up with it saying that such things happen in life. If they can they are not living in the same world as I am. These things can not happen they should not happen.
I did not believe it; in fact I refused to believe it. Then I saw some of the victims talking of their experiences in front of cameras. They were talking about areas of mind I was quite unfamiliar with. I was stunned and bewildered. Can this be? I was never one for rooting for god at every available opportunity. I followed Voltaire in this regard, either god could do something about it or he could not. Both ways he does not appear to be a nice and efficient being. But reading about the unimaginable cruelties perpetrated on innocent children I felt it went beyond anything the humanity has ever seen. I come from the land which explained hardships in this life on the basis of the law of Karma. But if the heinous acts committed on these children could be explained in that manner I do not care for the law anymore. Let us do away with such bloody laws. Let us believe in only that is experienced in this life. Let us find methods to curb these inexpressible atrocities.
Only the demented would do such insensible things. Somewhere before I had said that the very Lucifer would quake in his boots (or hooves) if he met a human being by chance. I was not exaggerating. Lucifer as described by the Bible was the son of morning, the ever resplendent one. None can go against his own nature; no son of light would bring such darkness on in the world. My belief is that the poor god had bungled terribly in creating man and is possibly hiding from his own creation. May be he has infused man with his own deeply ingrained evil genius and exceeded his own expectation in making man in his own dead image. There is sort of blind belief in some places which refuse to find in God anything that is evil. Let me tell you this god that is looking over our world can not resemble any one described in those texts. If he can’t know what evil is he can not create good and let me ask you frankly, where is the good he has created in this world? Dostoyevsky had once scathingly said the all the beauties in heaven are not worth one little drop of tear on the face of a hurt little child.
Sometimes I feel so incensed on reading and hearing about such horrors in our midst that I want to go out and shake the whole world up so that it could see its own horrifying and nauseating reflection somewhere and would cease from releasing such abysmal evil ever again. But this is mere emotionalism. The world requires something else. It requires an action plan by which it can be brought back to its senses. This can not be a plan like any other plan that we have seen up to now. This is the age where we can not keep our thoughts to ourselves. Some say these are sometimes even broadcast for others to hear unknown to us. The capability to do that certainly exists. If this is the case the plan to resist has to come from deep within you. It has to be an internal resistance rather than an external one. Even this has very little hope of success. This is not stated to dampen or frighten you. The darkness I see ahead for the world is disturbing. It is as if the powerful in the world are ganged up against the rest. They have the tools and the technology to curb or destroy any form of struggle.
In these murky times, every one of us need to a soldier and carry on with the fight against the dark forces. It does not matter in what way. We are into a territory unknown to the world before now. We are fighting unknown and faceless enemies. Our strategies need be revised and rethought as we go along. But a great impediment to this is the total surveillance that is set on the world.
Still we must fight on. We are fighting for the future of the world. Let this give us hope.

The healer within

As was mentioned somewhere before, the author of this post was an ardent atheist at one stage and was not even into his teens then. This lasted for some years. It was my belief that every thing in the world should have a rational explanation. It was a period of blissful ignorance. I might have thought like Max Bonn “philosophy is over in next six months”. But as years passed my once unshakable belief in the predictability of the world and its events underwent a slow change. Not that I became a believer in the sense it is used in the west, no, even now I do not strictly believe in an entity called the God. But I became aware that there are other options, there are other avenues of inquiry even without the help of god. There are systems in which you can even deny the existence of god and then make use of his help too! This statement might appear obscure or absurd to some of you, for there are really only two accepted world views in philosophy, the materialism and the Idealism. There is also a thing called the dualism, well there is that in everything. I know that there could be dozens of branches to these broad streams of thought, but for the purpose of this article these would suffice. You are either a materialist or an idealist. You either believed in god or you did not.
To tell you frankly, even in India where these things are a part of life such abstruse philosophy is not understood generally. You need to do some hard thinking and unlearn what you have learned up to then to get an inkling of what the truth is. This requires patience and some hard mental labor. Anyway the point is that there are grey area’s where different thought streams meet and is understood as one. This is important in what I am going to put down in the next few lines. All the basics can not be explained in a few lines of writing, so I would not be attempting that. Instead I shall try to out- line the methods of healing as is understood by those who wanted to help humanity to over come their sufferings. In this effort I shall consciously try to avoid any mention of the divine and the miraculous for they have become taboo in some sectors.
This world is full of suffering and if any one or anything can bring relief we should not care through what channel it comes. But we do care do we not? Even with ever broadening horizons of human awareness we tend to label some events as mysterious and impossible. Yet when we have nothing to loose and everything to gain by making use of some technique to make us well we should do so, or that is what I believe.
Some of you might have heard of spiritual healing, to me it is nothing but a wise application of your own potentialities to cure yourself and others. We are an inseparable part of the universe; all the potentialities visible in it are contained in a germinal form in us too. If man is the microcosm the universe is the macrocosm. This fact was implicitly believed in by all those who attempted to heal themselves and others. In old Tantric texts these dual concepts are termed as the Unda (egg) and Pinda (mass). They took both as the same. In a more subtle sense there is not two at all, there is only one. This is philosophy and is abstruse, but the modern science has also begun to realize this, quantum mechanics has opened up new areas of understanding and now science is not sure whether what we perceive is real or not. Even the belief in the continuity of matter has been discarded, and our conceptual frame work has been considered as inept to understand reality in the sub-atomic level.
In such an age of confusion it would be a steadying influence to consider the older concepts of humanity, not those that either adamantly deny or credulously approve god, but those that have helped mankind in lessening the suffering. In the texts of Yoga mind is taken as the creator and preserver of the world. More explicitly the mind is the world. It is what we see as the ‘different’ and the ‘one’. In the sphere of the mind there is nothing unreachable and distant. In fact there is no distance between you and the stars; all is contained within the same thing. But the mind is not god. It is in fact a servant, a servant of the intellect or more precisely the servant of your consciousness. This fact has to be grasped before you can heal any of your afflictions. There is an important difference in the western and eastern concepts of mind. In the west mind is still understood as a part of consciousness and is thus considered as alive. But in the east it is taken as Jada (inanimate). Hence it can be treated as any other objects in the world. You can even order it about. But to do that you need to do a bit of work. Yoga attempts to teach you how to do this.
As the mind is subservient to the intellect it can be controlled with your thoughts. Hatha Yoga teaches you a technique to do it. It is the technique of Pranayama. All changes in our moods affect our respiratory process. This is a well known fact to discuss it any further. Pranayama tries to reverse the process. The attempt is to control the mind by controlling your respiratory process. By filling your lungs to the full and holding the air in you relieve the lungs and the heart temporarily from the constant toil that they are engaged in. This releases a form of usable energy. This energy could be directed to any body parts you wish by imagination and will power. Let me tell you that there is more to it than this but those practices require proper training and supervision. Yet any man or woman willing to learn proper breathing techniques can be a healer. The only thing needed is to breathe properly. Breathe in deep and keep on doing it. The mere increase in the level of oxygen in your body will quicken your natural healing process. If you can couple it with a conscious process of directing the excess energy to those parts of the body which are ill, it would bring about a marvelous change.
As you go on practicing the deep breathing technique all through your waking hours (you should not tire yourself by filling the lungs to the bursting point every time-Just breath deep that would be enough for the purpose.) you will notice the changes yourself. Also new ways of using the energy would become revealed to you, not by any one else but by your own understanding. You might even become able to send it out of you to others to relieve them of their pains. But even if you become capable of doing this you should exercise extreme caution in doing it. By holding your breath in and visualizing that the energy is being sent out to others and to any of their body parts you can accomplish a cure sometimes. But our energy always are colored by our personality and unless we are fully sure that our thought structure, character, beliefs, moods and everything is healthy and clean we should never attempt to do such cures. With the energy that we are transmitting these other aspects of our personality would be transmitted. This could harm the other person and might even stall their psychological evolution.
In a nut shell by controlling the respiratory process you control prana the life force and would have a supply of this life force to cure your ailments. It is easy as hell once you set your mind to it, or rather your thought to it. Practice till perfect and good luck with it.

THINK THE THOUGHTS

You might think that I am slowly moving away from the problems of mind control victims to other things, going by my recent posts. But let me tell you, all that I have written have reference to this phenomenon in one way or other. To me all forms of control are repulsive. I react to them strongly. But this is not an approval of anarchy, both on the individual level or on the social level. Ours has been the best known social /political structure the world has ever devised, if it is allowed to operate in its intended way. Democracy even in the form it is practiced now has several advantages over other systems of government. But there have always been people, elected or otherwise bent upon making a farce of it. They still labor under the sub conscious urge to dominate, fashion and correct the world, forgetting that their position, tools of analysis etc are the gifts of the same system they are trying to subvert.
To me it has always been stupefying how people are so little concerned about their own future as well as the future of the world they are living in. This is not an effort to hold on to the current system by whatever means that would be nonsensical. But any system replacing it should take our efforts to better our lot further into the future rather than diminishing it or trying to erase it altogether. This is what is happening in the world at present. Certain “wise” people are trying to take it on themselves to decide the fate of the world and all those in it with no qualifications for the job other than their own mistaken or wicked belief in their importance.
Our educational system has not been the best in the world, but it does allow the minimum level of competence to the individuals to come up with an idea about life. Every where in the world this system is being changed. A new system with an accent on interacting with people rather than learning the basics is being emphasized upon. Learning the skills to live is not what education is all about. This the individual obtains through interaction with the society as they grow up. Why has the accent in education shifted from that of learning the basics to that of collecting information? Well I agree that the children need be familiar with working on projects and conducting seminars. But these skills are not of at most importance, they can be acquired even without the interference of the teachers. What is happening is a shift in policy. This is subtle and not easily observable. Society the world over has reached a stage where to be literate is a necessity that is how you learn to obey the laws! You would not be allowed to take it any further. All sorts of social activity like conducting seminars, taking up a project, collecting information and statistics, conducting surveys are all tools to control people and the environment they live in.
This goes much further than milieu control. It is an effort at total control, through all avenues of life. On the surface it appears that students are being prompted to get in touch with reality and to ask questions and find answers. But actually they are being conditioned to be good soldiers of an evolving system of global masters and slaves. They are being trained to be used against themselves in essence. When the accent shifts from learning the basics to collecting data the whole concept of education is subverted. Yet can any one complain? The basics are still provided in the texts. There is nothing to complain of!
Strange are times we live in. Every source of information is controlled. That which reaches us is corrupted by the wicked to suit their interests. Every aspect of our lives is being controlled, overtly and covertly. Technology which should have been assisting people to evolve is being used to contain them and control what they see and think. The human individuals are being divested of their in alienable right to be independent and free, to seek the meaning of life. Instead they are being provided with a patented version of reality. They are being consistently told that this is the one reality that exists and to be aware of. They are not allowed to think that the reality is subjective and is the result of an individual’s free understanding of life. This is what is so bizarre of this phase of our civilization, those who control information have become the masters and those who receive it have to be the slaves. With invasive tools of mind control any individual could be totally controlled. We are living in the times of mass mind control. All governments are involved in this subversion of our freedom. They are doing it knowingly. It seems as if all ideological differences have been solved among the powerful and they are operating with one target in mind, that of curbing the right to question them.
The times are confusing. I know that confusion is bad, but it is much better than being made to think that everything is alright with the world. Confusion is also a sign that something is not right somewhere. We need to put this something right, but how? What can a single individual do against such odds, against the all pervasive mind control, against the instruments of internal torture?
Well the answer is simple; spread the word that this is happening. As they say, walk the walk (or think the thoughts). This might not bring in a change immediately, this heinous activity of controlling masses has been going on for some time now, and it is not going to change that easily. But talk the talk and think the thoughts, be aware of the situation, be not be deceived into believing that everything is as it should be in the world, they are not, and your complacency is responsible for it as is anything else.
Even when they are trying to control our thoughts I say think the thoughts!

The Kamasutra of Yoga

Hatha Yoga is more practiced in the west than even in India. This is true about most of the higher practices of Yoga too, if what one sees over the net is to be taken seriously. This is a very heartening development because in the land of its origin Yoga is pretty soon going to be extinct. There are no efforts to make it a part of the educational curriculum, as should have been done long ago. Some yuppies practice it if they are forced by their bosses, and some do it to lessen the tensions of life. I do not think any one is taking it very seriously. If those in power had the barest minimum imagination they would have understood by now that such disciplines would not survive this long without having something going for them.

Well, let us leave it at that. Hatha Yoga really developed as a reaction to external domination of the land, and is basically a practice to gain unbelievable mental and physical abilities. But it has also some ludicrous aspects to it. One such is the practice of Vajroli Mudra.

I know that the Mudra is taught (if it is ever taught at all) as an exercise to gain control over the “nether “regions of the body. But actually it has a weird aspect to it. The practice consists of dipping your penis in bowl containing milk and drawing some of it into you with it. Not an easy thing to do by any means. When I had my first introduction to Yoga I had read every text on the subject available in the land at that time. A text like Gheeranda Samhita wisely keeps mum on this practice. I think Hatha Yoga Pradeepika contains some reference to the actual practice. You may refer to Advice 3-83, 84, 85, and 86 of the text if you can get hold of a copy. I could not stop laughing for days thinking about the practice as described in it.
In the notes to the Advice it is given thus:

“I will now tell you about two of the rare things you should obtain to practice this Mudra. One is milk and the other is a faithful woman. Be it man or woman, once they stop the discharge of Bindhu (Seminal fluid in the case of man, and any such secretion in woman) and practice constriction of certain bodily parts steadily for some time they will obtain this Mudra. By placing a glass pipe to the opening of the male/female organ you should blow through it like you do when lighting a fire. This is to ensure air circulation inside the opening.”(Forgive my poor translation. It is actually weirder and funnier than this)

Then again in Advice 3-87 it is enjoined that, with effort, the seminal fluid which gets inside the vagina of the woman should be fully absorbed back into the body of the practitioner. It is said that the practitioners of Vajroli could sort of vacuum clean the fluids insides the vagina giving a woman extreme pleasure. No wonder many young guys are after such “Sidhis” (powers) and ruin their lives by practicing it.
One great opponent to this technique (as well as all the techniques of Hatha Yoga) has described of an encounter with a practitioner of this Mudra.

He asked the Young man

“How long have you been practicing this technique?”

“About Ten years.” The other replied

“….And the gain?”

‘Well, I can draw water into the penis through a thin pipe”

I would rather not relate the reaction of this venerable gentleman to that statement. But to tell you the truth, before seeing this account I did not think the practice was even possible. And in fact, even after reading this report I had remained skeptical about it. The guy could be telling a lie, you know, though the description did not sound like it.

But then there was this instance I came across. It comes from a book written by late Guru Nitya Chaitanya Yati who is also well known in the west. He once had to work as the Director of Psychic Research Institute at Delhi by the invitation of the then home minister of India Mr. Gulsarilal Nanda. The institute conducted a scientific study on the Yogis they could find. One of them was a yogi called Varabh Yogi. He was so called because he could sit cross legged on a “block of ice” (“Varabh” in Hindi) in the nude for hours at a stretch without even flinching.

He exhibited the technique of “Vajroli” before a distinguished audience of experts at the Psychic Research Institute at Delhi. He first drew in one ounce of milk through his penis into his body and then forced it out in the like manner. He also demonstrated the “Kurma Mudra” before them. This consists of drawing in the entire genitalia (is the usage correct, I do not know. But you can guess the meaning from it I hope?) inwards into the body. When it finally disappeared into the body the place where the penis looked similar to that of a female sex organ.

Yati states that this Yogi was boastful and was thirsty for worthless praise. He was ever praising his own greatness. Yati felt his outlook on life and value system was anything but desirable and concluded that to attain the complete control over mind and become a real Yogin one need to raise much above the practice of such techniques.
I could not agree more. But I was educated in modern India with its strong accent on the western moral code and its frightening inhibitions. It is not my desire to discredit Yoga ( Even Hatha Yoga ) for some of its weird practices. In fact the earlier- Indians had always shown a healthy interest in sex and have even devised a method to attain the highest truth with the help of it. It is known as Vama Tantra. It is also considered a form of Yoga. The ancients in the land never had any inhibitions about sex and took it as the most natural experience in the world. Well this is the land which considered Vatsyayana (the Author of Kamasutra) as a rishi, a term generally reserved for those who attain the highest truth. This was not done in jest. They knew there were many roads to the same point.

Once a great sage was asked by his disciples:

“Could one find truth through such deplorable methods?’

He replied with a simile.

“You see, a house has many portals, the master of the house might enter through the front door, the women and children through some other doors, the servants through yet other s, and the scavenger also enters the house through a door. If you do not like it you need not go through that door”

The point is very clear is it not?

The Metamorphosis

Let us be not like ostriches that hide their heads in the sand and think everything is okay in the world. No my friend nothing is okay anywhere. Every system is corrupt, every law is corrupt, every institution is corrupt. I know, I know the apologists of the system would come up with something like “Man this is the most we can do. This is the best we can do” Well they may be even right, but that does not mean that what they are doing is right. Take a hard look at the human history. What do you see? Did we pause and say that this is the best bloody system in the world and stay put. Well there were some such systems. The Egyptians, the Greeks, the Indus people, the Mesopotamians, they all thought they were the finest civilization ever. They stopped evolving and you know what happened- they were replaced by intellectual minions. These new people were aggressive. They did not care a bit for the edifices of the older civilizations. They pulled them down ruthlessly. Greece was ransacked by the Romans. The Indus valley by the Aryans, the Egyptians by a lesser people. They failed because they refused to evolve with the times. Their culture had become like a stagnant pool. Once the pool was vast and clean. Hundred s of rivers had fed the pool and had kept it vibrant. But when it reached a point they refused to listen to the voices of the changing world. The world does not stay quite. It creates quite a din sometimes. This noise is the pain of giving birth. They needed to listen to it and change with it.
I am not trying to make you read Fukuyama (though it would be nice if you could do that). No I do not believe that our civilization has reached a saturation point. Far from it. It is at a transitional point. One horror is being replaced by another hideous structure. The capitalists are being replaced by the technocrats. But what about countries like China you say? Well my friend if Yunnan is any indication it is going the same way as the rest of the world. If you believe “One swallow does not make a summer” you can think again. The world has changed; we have almost made the swallows extinct. In these times one swallow is more than enough to predict a summer. It is going to the age of technocrats from now onwards. Let me quote from a comment on one of my earlier posts from “C”. I do not know who this gentleman/woman is. He/she was outl lining the current US domestic policy based on a book by Russell D. Howard (Colonel USA) and Reid L. Sawyer(captain USA) (written/copywrited in 2003 by McGraw- Hill/Dushkin
and is listed in the Library of Congress with Control Number 2002106286 as per the comment).

Though the central theme seems to be that of combating terrorism it provides an insight into the current thought structure of the US and of course the rest of the governments in the world on the direction things are going to take from now onwards. It is almost as if the governments are in the process of “withering away” as prophesied by Karl Marx (what an irony of fate!). Note that this alliance is formed exclusively between the executive and the technocrats mediated only by business interests. No system readily supports its own over throw. It fights to the end to hang on to its achievements. But that all seems to be in the past now. The current power structures are welcoming the change with relief.

This is because they have learnt their lesson from the past. They know if they fail to evolve they would be replaced, and they are evolving. The only thing is that this evolution has not taken the right path. It harbors ill will towards the people. It is the mutation of the already corrupt to the status of the absolute masters. We have never been at such a pass before. You can imagine what course it would take. Even now every single human being in the world is under constant surveillance. This is not fantasy. It is a fact. Any nation which has satellites in the orbits around the earth is capable of monitoring every single event that is happening below. There are rays which could penetrate thick walls and hundreds of feet underneath the earth’s surface. So our life is not privet any more. Our governments are either inept or corrupt. But yet they are the governments we put into place. Though they almost always act dumb when it comes to the question of human rights these are at least our own creations and represents us. The tools they have now are the property of the people and theoretically they can be controlled by us through democratic means. But once these tools are passed on to the hands of the privet sector or they start building more sophisticated tools to be used on the public it can not be controlled in any manner known to us. We are yet to find a business man concerned about the welfare of the general public.
This is the world that we are living in. This is our present reality. Some may call it even inevitable, but when business starts to look after the interests of the state, the whole concept of governance changes. It becomes based on the philosophy of profit and loss and not on welfare. Already such interests are visible in the world. The World Bank IMF and the ADB is seeing to that. Most of the poor countries are being told what to do inside their countries in no uncertain terms. The moment governments start to play to the tune of business interests (under whatever pretext) the basic principles on which the modern state is founded upon is eroded. This is not an unexpected phenomenon. All over the world governments have been slowly withdrawing from social welfare obligations.
But the danger is more threatening than even this scenario. As stated earlier The governments are trying to evolve. They are about to shed their shells and climb into a new one. This period of transition is their most vulnerable moment. Propaganda is not enough to assist them in this transition, mis- direction and mis/dis information is not going to be of much help. More subtle methods are needed. This is where they turn to tools of brain control; to me this is the back ground of mass mind control they are practicing. They want a submissive society which would permit this transition by ignoring it. The efforts are to numb the brain on the one end and to flood it with useless information on the other end. Those that oppose would be termed as subversives. In fact in the modern state every honest citizen is a potential threat. If you believe in liberty, freedom, equality and the like you become a persona -non -grata to the establishment. If you ask questions you are a trouble maker.
But if you are glued to the TV and gulps down everything that the media dishes out to you and are satisfied with things in general you are left alone, but mind you, you are still under surveillance, whether you like it or not. Some you might think that things could not be as bad as that. Well try this if you want to find out. Get on a bench, a box or any some place elevated and say a few things about how things are in the world, say that you hate war or how unemployment is on the rise in your country, or how the prices are going up. You live in a free country don’t you? You have rights to express yourself, it goes without saying? If you think these are simple things and you have the rights to say it, try and find out. I would not advise it though!
I am afraid that we are witnessing the metamorphosis of the modern state into a business venture.

Modern Merchantism

I was brought up on modernism. I would still go for it any time. And I am quite unashamed about it in these post modern times. Modernism had a healthy distaste for every propped up institution in the world. It viewed the establishment as evil. It delighted in pulling down the arrogant architectures of a utilitarian culture. And it was right, for every grand institution turns on its adherents after a period of time and catches them by the throat, trying to squeeze the very life out of them. Also the utilitarian culture always had the capability to construct terrible deformities like Auschwitz and Dachau. We did not view it as the creation of the Nazis alone, for we knew that Nazi’s were just the torch bearers at that particular point of time. Fascism is a disease of the psyche, it was prevalent all through the long history of human evolution. But it has not reared its ugly head in a similar fashion to that of the first half of last century. All knew something was wrong, and every one who set out to investigate the problem became a modernist.
These knew that the movement was destined to be superseded by another such movement, but what came in its wake was a horror of the first order. We can’t deny that this new malady was helped by several factors. External techniques of war and interrogation had been replaced by internal techniques. Brute force was traded for subtle invasive brutality. Reality was overthrown by virtual reality. It was the beginning of technocracy. By the time it had really begun to sweep aside everything in its wake, it was a bit too late to fashion an effective technique of defense against it. The technology had caught people with their pants down. It had an alluring physical presence and they fell for the snare of this new vampire. It does not drink your blood. But it sucks your spirit dry.
But the world had not changed one bit, it was as brutal as it was before, and in reality it had become more inhuman and more insensitive than it was. There is something very wrong with the human psyche. It has not improved at all through the passage of time. The same violent passions, the same bestial urges, the same stupid antagonisms rule the roost. There is something deep down in us which do not allow us to prosper inwardly as a human society, a strange restraining force for going against evil. It always sides with the ill and with the pretension of doing well. The soldier says “it’s my guys out there, they need me”. Really he is not speaking for himself, he is speaking for the “clan“. This elusive clan could be an archetype within the psyche. He is already sort of disembodied, he does not care for himself, but he care for something. The problem with that something is that it is entirely wrong. That something is about the “guys”. For the same guys who again do not care for themselves.
Look how the system makes you say things. It puts you through the rigors of a terribly Spartan existence, It denies you the normal necessities of life, it court- martial’s you if you dare to just look defiantly up. But it make you bond with others for sacrificing yourself for causes of which you can’t make the head and tail of. What are you fighting for? Is the fight going to save the world? Is it going to create anything other than despair, for both the victors and the defeated? It happened in Vietnam, in Afghanistan, in Iraq and in India’s case in Srilanka. It does not end here.
This is what the establishment does to you. It crushes your reason and provides you with a vague sense of belonging to something very basic, in this case a confused link to fellow soldiers. Personally these guys may not care to know each other even in civilian life, before they ever met in the military setting I mean. The system creates a fake bonding with a fake pretense. This is why it is anti-human. The stronger its external structure is the viler it is. This drama of the unconscious desire in the system for destroying human beings as well as other structures (seen antagonistic to it) has been holding center stage for a long time it seems. May be this drama is never going to end. I believe that we have some sort of a destructive gene inside us, which makes us deny others the freedom that we would have for ourselves. There is also a convergence of various power structures towards every other such structure which is terrifying.
The more frightening aspect of the techno- civilization is that it has now taken its fights into the sphere of the mind. Its Auschwitz and Dachau’s are invisible. It has created a Panopticon of the whole world. Every single human being inside this Panopticon is always being monitored by the masters. This modern Panopticon does not have any walls. Its boundaries extend to all the spheres of human intervention, both global and spatial. The eyes of the guard’s looks at you through satellites, their ears are tuned into your conversations through Echelon, their instructions reach you through the gadgets you carry around with you or wonder of wonders, through the thin air.
I believe that the modernist values still hold good in this post –post- modernist times. All seems to have accepted the intervention of the market into their lives. It is the primary playing ground of post modernism. It boasts of nullifying greater narratives. But the aim behind it is all too evident. It wants to sell goods. It is fashioning peoples taste to newer products by ousting older ones from the mind. The talk of negating greater narratives serves the purpose very well. Unfortunately those that call themselves progressives have also fallen for the sweet talk of the degenerate philosophy. They naively believe that the new reality could be interpreted in this manner more convincingly. Nothing could be farther from the truth than that. If some one vainly hopes for making the existing destructive world -view scarce by this new approach, they can think again. Negating greater narratives for post modernism is not the same as demolishing institutions of the modernism. Post modernism is not a transitional stage of modernism as some believe. It is dead against the spirit of modernism.
This might not go down well with some of you. But Post modernism was invented by the apologists of the establishment with the help of the market gurus. It is entirely a market oriented philosophy, if you can call it a philosophy at all. No wonder it spread like a disease all over the world within no time of its inception. It had to be preached all over the world to instill the supposedly fresh and thoroughly body oriented thought structure to the already highly infected public. With the help of electronic media it has achieved its primary aim, that of spreading the consumerist culture every where in the world.
Some say that it took the modernism to reach the third world 30 years from its beginning but that the post-modernism took immediate root every where. No wonder. Its god is the omnipresent market. It does not propagate ideas on humanity; instead it sells goods and services and makes good profit out of it. It is impersonal and faceless. It has given the control of the world to a few merchants who would like to rule the world.
This is the age of Merchantism rather than that of post modernism, but not merely in the sense seen by Raymond E. Feist in “Rise of a Merchant Prince” but in a much more invasive and aggressive manner than any thing the world has ever seen. Philosophy of gain pervades everything; it is the shadow culture of greed cleverly foisted on the human body in exclusion to everything else with a double purpose- to control and to amass wealth. No other considerations find a place in this scheme of greed.
Sad times these.
Note : My idea’s on both modernism and post modernism is thoroughly subjective and may not agree with what is being said and taught about them in the academic circle or even among the enthusiasts. Those who want to form their own views on these subjects may refer to the following links

Surrogate in cyber space

Here is a technology that is fast developing, the Holomer technology. Holomer or more precisely HOLO-graphic M-edical E-lectronic R-epresentation is a three dimensional digital record of a person obtained through the use of various medical scanning devises such as the CT scan, MRI scan, ultra sonic scan and other such machines. Most of these are in use at present. Thus it is not at all futuristic as it might appear at first, though some of the concepts involved are a bit futuristic at this moment The combined out put of these machines are integrated to form a single body of information to produce a holographic image( now a computer image) of the person under study. The image created thus is called the holomer of the person. In the year 2001 when these novel information was coming out the image obtained in this manner was still being viewed on a computer monitor. But Dr. RM Satava, MD, FACS , formerly of Yale University was of the view that “based upon technology in the laboratories today, they will be displayed as three dimensional holographic suspended images” He was also optimistic that the holomer would enable us to create human surrogate in cyberspace - an informational equivalent of the person in bits and bytes.
What this means is that the data collected through the technology is as comprehensive as to act as a substitute for the real person as far as medical treatment is concerned. The image would be containing “not only anatomically precise information, but also physiologic, biologic, genetic, demographic and other information” This provides the doctors with a great advantage. For one thing it makes diagnosis easy. All data relevant to a particular form of disease can be retrieved from the holomer to form a visual medical record. Also it can become an educational tool for the patient. The physicians can explain to the patient what actually the problem with their health is.
Its applications do not end there. Surgeons stand to gain much from this technology. If a complicated operation, such as the brain surgery is to be performed, they can use the holomer image to practice the surgery till it is perfect before conducting it on the person. This is already in use especially in neuro and orthopedic surgery. The technology has an added benefit in that at the time of the surgery the image could be overlaid on the real organ, enhanced by detailed representation of internal structure such as blood vessels, bile ducts etc by employing data fusion. This would lighten the load of the surgeon conceivably. The images can also be used to study the pre operation and post operation situation and conditions of the patient.
But the doctor believed that these are only some of the fundamental changes in the offing. Soon every one would be having a holomer and “This image can in the future become a surrogate for an individual." The images would make it possible for the doctors to actually show the patients how some of their actions affect their bodies such as smoking. He had made a rather interesting observation too.
"It goes back to [the game of] Dungeons and Dragons," he said. "We learned there that people get very attached to their avatars." Patients also would own the data, so they could sell it to pharmaceutical companies and other groups for research databases. Dr. Satava predicted that this type of information resource would be of immense value to researchers”

Well, on the reverse, our good doctor is currently employed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or Darpa which has a dubious reputation as regards human rights. It is the research arm of the Pentagon and is interested in everything that affects an individual human being in general. The doctor now a professor of surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle was chosen for his work and idea’s on holomer. He is in charge of a project called the Virtual Soldier.

The pentagon wants to create a virtual soldier from the data gained through the methods earlier discussed in the article and based on its real life subject. They claim that this would make it easy to medically supervise their soldiers when in action. They are also not selfish it seems (!) for they have asserted that,
“Everyone,.could one day carry around an electronic copy of his or her anatomy -- maybe as soon as 10 years from now. Every single person in the United States will have an electronic medical record”
In his new ‘avatar’ Satva has this to say about his project.
“Every sonogram, X-ray or CT scan could automatically update the holomer, offering a detailed picture of what's going on inside the body at that very moment.
Handheld ultrasound scanners, the real world's analog to Star Trek's tricorders, already are in early market stages. Medical monitors to track pulse, body temperature and the like are supposed to be woven into the next generation of soldier uniforms. And computer programs are starting to take a stab at diagnosing patients. Combine these advances with the holomer, and combat medics might have instant, automatic diagnoses of the wounded.
The holomer also might be able to use predictive algorithms to look into the body's future.”
Some experts are still calling the program as a bit ambitious. Yet some of them think it is doable. But satva is confident about the outcome of the research. He has also a time frame of ten years in mind for the fruition of the technology. He is not satisfied with viewing the image on a computer screen. He believes that with the full backing of the US Government for the project it would show results in the near future. Some of the things he said are notable.
"This is going to happen much quicker than any of (the naysayers) anticipate," he said. "They have no idea what's available now to us, let alone what's going to be available in the next five to 10 years. They're so far behind the (computer processing) power curve."
This is a fact some of the TI’s been shouting at the top of their voice for sometime now, and went unheeded. “Having no idea of what is currently available to them” is what is causing all this heart burn for the afflicted. This hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth. Is anybody listening?
Satva also sees a connection between his program and one other program of the DARPA . It is called the life log. The effort in Life log is similar. It intends at capturing all the activities ( reading, seeing and hearing) of a person to create an “other” of the man on computers.

He has mentioned Oscar Wilds famous Dorian Gray in this connection. It could not be a mere coincidence, could it be? It struck me as strange at first. But on a deeper analysis I found it as the most natural of all things he could say. On the surface it looks like an innocent analogy. But in reality Wilds Dorian Gray is the modern inhuman culture in a nutshell, the evil self is hidden in an attic, the image carry’s on with out any concern in the world whatsoever.
There might come a time when somebody rends this piece of filth, carefully concealed in the garret, thus ending this vile apology of a culture altogether.

Vampires galore

Vampirism
Well I really do not know what I am getting into. I have been writing on aliens, and now here I am writing about Vampirism. No need to fear though, it’s about energy vampires that I am concerned about, not the real variety, the Count Dracula variety. That could be scary, but luckily it seems, if C.W.Leadbeater and company is to be believed, they would not exist in countries where people burn their dead. They need the body to project themselves into the astral form.
The Astral Plane by C.W Leadbeater contains several interesting accounts of the plane that is said to be the next to that of the physical plane that we live in. The belief is that we enter the astral world soon after our death. It is said to be much like the world that we live in and exists in the same region although unknown to us. According to Mr. Leadbeater the completely soulless and depraved men can not stay in the astral world after death and has to go to the “eighth sphere” whatever it is, to under go painful torments for the terrible deeds done by them while living.
Well such men, if they know something of the “black arts” can postpone this fate indefinitely by preserving their body in a “cataleptic trance” by infusing blood into it and thus keeping it in a state of freshness. It is said that the eighth sphere can not claim them till the dispersal of the physical body. As there were no blood banks in the distant past, they had to draw blood from other beings with the help of their “semi materialized astral”.

Leadbeater has said that there were a few such examples of vampires at the time of writing his book. I could not get the date of the actual publishing of the book from it, but I believe the articles in it were written sometime early in the last century. Interestingly he cited Russia and Hungary as the most likely places in which we can find some of these rare individuals.

The book might be available at some of the Theosophical sites

Well these “class acts” in the vampire kingdom and our energy vampires have only one thing in common, they both are supposed to take the life force out of you -The earlier class through physically draining you of blood and the later class by draining you of energy. But how do they do it? Can any one become an energy vampire? I have been intrigued by this question for a little while now. Well it seems now that people are born with this thing. Sergei Nikodimov, a Russian parapsychologist (God what am I coming into!) has this to say about the phenomenon:
“Numerous research works conducted by specialists of bioenergetics all over the world showed that all people can be conditionally divided into two major categories – vampires and donors. Each person radiates with live biological energy, which he or she can give to someone or take from someone. This quality of give and take forms with every human being during the moment of birth. If a baby is born as an energy vampire, this child is extremely capricious. When they grow, they try to follow parents everywhere on their heels and even try to sleep with them at night. As a rule, a person does not realize the need in other people's energy: the energy exchange happens on a subconscious level. However, a human body senses this invisible communication too and reacts with fatigue, headache, etc. A person may feel dog-tired at night and have absolutely no wish to get up in the morning. The loss of energy through human communication may also result in depression and weakened immune system,”
You can view the article here:
http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/90/360/16423_vampire.html

It seems that these guys can not be alone and are very depressed when they are so. Their vampirism is said to be unconscious, and they are attracted to sports events because it provides them with a vast reservoir of energy. Well all that is well, but what is the actual mechanism by which the energy is being transferred? None seems to have an idea. At the same time there are people who consider themselves energy vampires like this one:
“Question: I've heard you discuss energy vampires and to move away from them. But I have never seen any help for those of us who are energy vampires and want to stop. I harm the people close to me with my energy. Lately, I’ve had terrible abuse memories, depression, panic, and severe mood swings. When strong feelings come up, I project them out on my partner and cause physical pain and emotional distress. I scare myself. I do this out of fear or anger, and then I wind up feeling more terrified - of myself. How do I face these severe emotions without connecting to others psychically? I want to stop dissociating, because that is when "something else" - something dark or stuck comes through me. All I know is I have been bought into darkness by allowing this to hurt my partner and others. “
The article is at this site:
http://www.drjudithorloff.com/askdrorloff.asp?action=question&idquestionQ=34
But the most interesting information came from a blog:
“Actually, I’ll take this a step further and offer a more “inside-out” definition. To me, an energy vampire is any thought pattern, activity, or habit that drains your life force. Whether the external influence that leads to this negative energy flow is a person, place, or thing, the vampire can only strike if you take the bait.”
This seems more like it. She has something going for her. The mention of thought pattern is of real interest. That could be the subtle mechanism at work.
She has also provided some solutions to the vampire problems.
http://30sleeps.com/blog/2007/09/14/5-energy-vampires-and-how-to-get-rid-of-them/
Judith Orloff MD a psychiatrist has this to say on the phenomenon:
“energy vampires exude negative energy that drains. Vampires range from the intentionally malicious ones to those who are oblivious to their effect. Some are overbearing and obnoxious; others are friendly and charming. For example, you're at a party talking to a perfectly nice person, but suddenly you're nauseous or weak. Or how about the co-worker who drones on about how she broke up with her boyfriend for the tenth time? Eventually, she feels better, but you're spent. The bottom line is that on a subtle energy level these people suck you dry.

Exercise: Take an inventory of people in your life who give energy, and people who drain. Specifically identify the energy vampires, and begin to evaluate ones you'd like to limit contact with or eliminate. Plan at least one complete afternoon with people who give off positive energy and avoid drainers. Notice how this beneficially affects their physical and emotional well-being”
Her website can be reached through this link:
http://www.drjudithorloff.com/energyVampire.asp
There is also a book available to read online on the subject. Here is the link
http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&id=CcbUJerFyfQC&dq=Energy+vampire&printsec=frontcover&source=web&ots=mwGGQd0
Enjoy the detailed description.
You can check whether you are a donor or taker of energy by observing yourself in action. It is said that if you feel tired after meeting some one, gets a head ache, feel depressed and sad you are under an energy vampire’s attack
On a different note I should also mention that the power loss from your various appliances is also called the energy “vampire” by some. This site might show how powerful this vampire is.

Alien Red Rain and Geological Disturbances

My blessed land is finally awakening. It has been slumbering peacefully for ages, now it finds itself in the middle of hectic activity on all fronts. It has snapped a few nukes under ground some time ago under the supervision of BJP coalition headed by a moderate Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpaey, though Pakistan cracked a few harmless ones back too. Its rockets are aiming for the moon, and it is aiming to supply its kids with computers for as little as 400 hundred rupees ( around 7-8 dollars, no ,not a toy as you may think, a full functional computer with browser to surf the net and what not!) Its sons are buying up multi national corporations like buying up cookies the world over. Mukesh Ambani of Reliance has even become richer than Bill Gates (No wonder poor Gates has quit Microsoft and is currently doing charity work. Imagine being over thrown by an “Injian” of all people! There is a point up to which you can take it! Darn, if it is to be charity let it be charity! )
May be aliens are responsible for stirring up the dormant giant. They are said to have taken up abode in Ladakh and is said to be visiting our government officials for tea now and then and offering a few advices. One of our cabinet ministers at the center recently has even said we do not need nukes anymore. We have the alien technology instead. No, he hasn’t said the later part, but you know how the media has a way of finding truth from whatever you utter! So utter absolute ‘silence’ at all times rather than any spurious thoughts, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, aliens are the in thing for India (and for India in the world it appears) at present. They are even said to be fathering (would “authoring” be more appropriate?) children among our chaste lady folk. No no need to be upset man, it is what is being written about. Read this article yourself, if you have the “guts and ‘gumption’s” for it, as one of my childhood sparring mates was fond of barking at me.

http://www.unexplainable.net/artman/publish/article_2824.shtml

My doubt is whether all the Indians are the children of aliens as these guys are supposed to have been coming here from time immemorial. Hear this if you have ears,
“India, according to Dr.V. Raghavan, retired head of the Sanskrit department of India's prestigious University of Madras, was alone in playing host to extraterrestrials in prehistory.”
Did you remark that “alone” in the sentence? This he distilled out of old texts of Ramayana and Mahabharatha etc. And he is not alone (please don’t pick on this “alone”) in this belief it seems. There are scientists who agree with him. Here is one such “concurrence”
“Another authority who agrees with Dr. Raghavan's interpretations is Dr. A.V. Krishna Murty, professor of aeronautics at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore.”It is true," Dr. Krishna Murty says, "that the ancient Indian Vedas and other text refer to aeronautics, spaceships, flying machines, ancient astronauts.”A study of the Sanskrit texts has convinced me that ancient India did know the secret of building flying machines-and that those machines were patterned after spaceships coming from other planets."

Now about more important things. In 2001 the Indian state of Kerala witnessed a strange group of events. First there was the red rain it received at some parts of the state. It was real and people got scared of it. Now the state has high literacy and is blessed with a high number of ‘rational’ people. Even the casual laborer in the state can discuss world politics and sciences as if they are born with the knowledge. Let me tell you that I have no intention to belittle the people. Most of them are intelligent and aware of things happening around them. It is a fact that the third person you would be meeting on any small town in the state would have a doctorate on some subject. You can find graduates and post graduates among the laborers even.
Hence their scare was not because of any superstition. They are far too wise for that. They intelligently assumed it was caused by some phenomena connected with the misuse of environment on the global or local level. There was also a theory that some of the states factories were responsible for the incident. One shrewd assumption went like this. The effluents discharged by some factories in to the sea water some how got evaporated retaining its chemical content and then was poured back into the land by the rain. I do not know if it is possible for water to retain its chemical content when evaporating and lifting off to form clouds. But this was the kind of guesses which were in vogue among people of the state at the time. They are not easily taken in by the supernatural/ alien definitions for the phenomenon. The media also know this fact and plays to the tune. In fact none of the local media dared to advance anything similar to alien intervention for the occurrence.
But among the populace was Godfrey Louis, a physicist, who had a different view altogether. Surprisingly his views were not cited by any of the media, may be because of the fear of being looked down upon by their highly intelligent public. His views on the subject could be guessed from this excerpt:
“Investigations suggested the rain was red because winds had swept up dust from Arabia and dumped it on Kerala. But Godfrey Louis, a physicist at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, after gathering samples left over from the rains, concluded this was nonsense. 'If you look at these particles under a microscope, you can see they are not dust, they have a clear biological appearance.' Instead Louis decided that the rain was made up of bacteria-like material that had been swept to Earth from a passing comet. In short, it rained aliens over India during the summer of 2001.”
The article goes on to say that Lois assumed that this should be the case by the duration of the red rain which fell in the region. It rained red for two months in Kerala during the year. To prove his theory he had collected red rain water and had sent it to various scientists for study. He claimed there was alien DNA in it. But this is what a British scientist who was conducting experiments on it has to say on the theory of alien DNA.
“Milton Wainwright, a microbiologist at Sheffield, is now testing samples of Kerala's red rain.’It is too early to say what's in the phial,' he said. 'But it is certainly not dust. Nor is there any DNA there, but then alien bacteria would not necessarily contain DNA.”
But this was not the only phenomenon that was happening. All over the state wells were disappearing. Unlike most other states in the country, Kerala still have a large number of wells which people use. Every house would have a well in its compound and houses are only built at places where you can find water. The Malayalee (those that speak Malayalam, Kerala’s state language) has a strange fascination for water. With innumerable lakes rivers and ponds and other water bodies they have never felt the need to be thrifty with water. They bathe twice a day and would bathe any number of times in summer. (Kerala is the largest consumer of soaps in the country may be in the whole world if a comparative study is conducted on the numbers of people at a place and soaps being sold there. They have an inherent sense of cleanliness and a deadly craze for water)
To such a people wells are something they can’t do without. At the same time as the red rain has been happening the wells started to disappear. It would happen suddenly and without warning. One moment there would be a well and the next moment there would be a small depression in the ground where the well was and nothing else. The wells would be completely filled up. There were incidents where people had to be rescued from the ruins of a well, as they would slide into it with ground sliding down to fill the well. This was happening all over the land and people were frightened to go near the well. Some times wells rich in water would dry up all of a sudden. There were also incidents where wells started to seeth and fume. Most of the wells affected would exhibit change of colour to the water. All sorts of colours were witnessed, but red was predomonant. Giant bubbles would start to break out of the surface of the water and the wells would start to gurgle noisily.
All these were happening at the same time. There were many theories among people. Volcanic activity being the most favorite one. Here is again a piece fro Lois’s findings which may have some relevance to this phenomenon “Louis also discovered that, hours before the first red rain fell, there was a loud sonic boom that shook houses in Kerala. Only an incoming meteorite could have triggered such a blast, he claims”
There has never been any big earth quakes in the region for as far back as any body would remember although geologists were always warning the region was quake prone. Is it possible that a sonic boom as Lois described could cause such internal geological disturbances with such outcome? Some have called Lois’s theory “Bulshit” but the man is said to be “unrepentant”. Here are his final words according to the article
'If anybody hears a theory like this, that it is from a comet, they dismiss it as an unbelievable kind of conclusion. Unless people understand our arguments - people will just rule it out as an impossible thing, that extra-terrestrial biology is responsible for this red rain.'

Well it has always been said that India is a land of magic. Now it has turned out to be a land of alien magic. Talk of progress!
