A few days ago in a post I commented on the news of alien presence in Indian soil based on an article in India Daily.com. I did not believe it then ( and unfortunately still do not) and suggested that, if it is the sighting of UFO’s that is being discussed, it could be holographic images being beamed by some one to confuse us Indians. But it seems that there are people who really believe in the theory and many web sites have reported the incident and some of them carried pictures of the strange alien vehicles!
One report put it thus:
"According to some in New Delhi, UFOs have made
contact with high-ranking officials of the Indian
government. The government was initially baffled, not
knowing how to react. Later, things became quiet, and it
seems that everyone understands that the extraterrestrials
are friendly."
Well I must admit that I am stumped. I saw a footage showing the faint outlines of some object moving in the sky photographed by a holiday tourist who were near the “event horizon”. It is probably a weather balloon. May be I am not into this UFO thing as yet.
These are the sites to look for the video if you are interested.

The reports say that the aliens have set up their base in Ladakh (of all places) and are very much active. All right, I am an open minded guy. I can believe even in aliens provided that it has some rational foundations. Let us consider this on the basis of common sense. Suppose there are other life forms in the universe, what would be their technological status now? To me it appears that they would fall into three broad categories compared to us.
1. They are much much advanced than us and can travel with or over light (tachyons travel above the limiting speed of light, George Sudarsan says.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.C._George_Sudharsan) So it is technically not impossible to conceive that even) speed. In this case their technology would be so superior to ours that they would never be interested in us to visit us. They could gauge our development from the other side of galaxy if they want to. So these guys would not be itching to visit us and to set up base here.
2. They are less advanced than us. In that case they would not have the technology to come here.
3. They have about the same level of technology. These also would not be visting us for we have not been able to get out of our own solar system yet.
I know there would be an argument that they are just ahead of us in technology and are exploring the rest of the universe to learn or establish new colonies.
The problem with this last theory is, we do not have any real knowledge that life, if it exists any where else in the universe, would follow the same pattern of evolution like that on the earth. If there are other life forms they could be so different from us that no natural resources used by us would be of any interest to them. If they come to this planet it would be certainly for something that we may have here and they don’t have at that point of time. Let me tell you we would be in big trouble then. They would either not want us here when they arrive or might “feed” on us even! A little rum, the idea of feeding on us, is it not? That too while talking of a highly evolved and intelligent species from outer space?
Well, we also had our pinnacles in evolution did we not? We produced geniuses like Newton and Einstein. We allowed Buddha and Gandhi to live amongst us though we had to do them both in at the end. We had Christ who asked us to love our neighbor like ourselves; we had to crucify him for that. We had a Sufi who said he saw god and we managed to dig his eyes out in the end for the blasphemy. We still eat up other life forms with great relish (incidentally Buddha died of food poisoning from the beef he was offered). Tell me, why wouldn’t they? There were cannibals amongst us wasn’t there? Idi Ameen was very fond of human flesh (well, in more ways than one counting his wives and the numbers of his children). He was very candid with the admission of this practice of his tribe. Humans are a little salty but are very tasty and cool he had said. Why should the aliens deny themselves the pleasure of eating us?
Some in my land believe that soup made out of the brains of a goat makes them more intelligent, well we also have an ornamental appendage called the brain, and wouldn’t it be useful to our visitors from the outer space?( the only thing saving us would be the total vacant state of the thing) Well if you are one of those who are very proud of this thing that you laboriously carry on your shoulders, know that we mostly make use of the part of brain that is called the reptilian brain and it is not much. Even the perps who target us with their beaming machines concentrate on this part to get us down.
Joking apart, coming back to the hot topic under discussion, let us imagine that ours is the only possible evolutionary process in the universe and the visitors would be exactly like us though a little more advanced. This could be trickier than the other scenarios; we would not even be useful to them as museum pieces, for they have gone through the same process of evolution. Our bloody history itself would probably make them exterminate us on the whole sale. Let us face it; none of the human race can be trusted. We are the greatest opportunists alive in the universe. We would take advantage of every situation we find ourselves in. And almost always we bungle things up when we do so.
So, whatever the popular conception, there won’t be any bases on Ladakh even in such a case. If they establish a base there we would not be in a position to know about it. We would have been long extinct.
These are the facts. And I see no way any other life forms would have come here and remained here to help us. Let us admit it; we are not “great shakes” as a civilization. Our basic psyche is so bestial that those with real sensitivity would shudder at the sight of it. I really do not think it is possible for any other superior life forms to have a benign interest in us.
All the same, I can see that there is a great uproar regarding UFO’s in India. The sightings are said to be real. There are photos and even a video on the subject it seems, as I mentioned. Some say that by his own words the Indian Prime Minister had admitted that he is put in the chair of the PM by “higher forces”. Well, well, well if he did not mean the “High Command” which is entirely Mrs. Gandhi for the Congressmen in India, by his words, then it must be about Rabba as the Sikhs call the god. He certainly seems to be a very taciturn man for an alien controlled hyper active one.
Talking about UFO’s I remember having met one such in my teens! No, no, I am not making fun of you, though I do not yet know whether it was a UFO in the first place! I was then just into collage and was staying near the campus. Everyday after evening meal (around 9 ’O’ clock) I used to go out for a stroll in the campus to clear my mind and gather strength to face another tedious night of study. I used to do this alone as up to that time of day there was only talk, talk and talk till the head begins to spin.
On this occasion I had just passed the playing grounds in the campus and was considering turning back when I saw something strange above in the sky towards the top of the trees surrounding the ground. It was a luminous green disk just like the moon and about the same size it appeared. The only thing was that there was no moon on that day and the thing was nearer, in fact much nearer. I thought it was just over the top of the trees, but I could be wrong. Though it was incandescent it did not shed light on anything else. It appeared very still and I could not say whether it was moving or not.
The strangest thing was that I could not find the path of any beam which could possibly create such an illusion in the air, looking everywhere both at the ground as well as at the sky. My fellow college mates were capable of the strangest of deeds on the ground, but never at such heights. And none of them were in sight, the hostels being at the other end of the campus. Incidentally I was just then the greatest rationalist and atheist alive in the world and would not have believed anything unless it had a solid basis on fact. I refused to believe what I was seeing but was fascinated by the sight. As I stood watching it, it suddenly began to move, with a gliding like motion (I am trying to repress an intense desire to exaggerate here) and soon disappeared over the trees. I saw it no more.
What in the hell was it? I had heard of gliding snakes and was aware of the popular belief that some rare snake-gods/goddesses in the fable carry diamonds through the air in that manner. Well as I said, the strangest thing was that it shed no light on anything else while it was there and while moving away. I was not on dope and I was not drunk. I remember that I was thinking of girls just then (nothing bad mind you, on very platonic lines) like all ‘sane’ young men of that age, proving it beyond doubt that I was in possession of my full senses.
I never mentioned it to anybody, for I was able to visualize in my mind the knowing nods and looks my friends would develop, winking at each other while I was relating the incident. There is nothing horrible for a young man at that age than to be made the butt of jokes. There would be hundreds of nick names from then on “alien”, “UFO “, “Abductee” “green man “ “mutant” “ disk” “super boy” “luminescence”. You can guess how it would be. Especially considering my rationalist pose, they would give it a blast. I thought with horror of going in to class hearing stage whispers behind me like “It was last night, they conducted experiments on his- you know what. He is implanted. His gene structure is altered and he would transform into some thing else every now and then, the poor guy” Now after passage of many years I can only look back on those days with a fondness for my own naiveté.
Well this is my only UFO experience if you can call it that. I can’t explain it, but there it is. Just now I looked up in the net to see what would happen with a search of “Green disks in the air”. After some search I found this. The post was made in 2005.

Green Florecent Disk shaped UFOs
I have been monitoring an area NW of Washinton State and I have seen the same UFO for more than 2 hours a day since jan the 4th. Does any body here knows about Green florecent Disks or which alien race do they belong to?
I have at least 10 of the pictures which were taken from this object avalible.
You can read my first report here: http://www.hbccufo.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2218
There are also reports from Washinton State there have been 118 sighting of objects with the same description.
There are some interesting photos of the object at the link he has given. Here is the link to the site containing them, if you want to check it out.

-End of quote-
Mine happened years and years back. Was it really a UFO? I still think it might have been light reflecting on something on the tree tops, a fluorescent piece of banner perhaps. Even if it was a UFO it was very small to contain any live aliens in it. It could have been an automatic surveillance tool for the aliens! Bloody hell what in the name of hell I am talking about, did I see a real UFO? Is it proof that India is vistited by aliens? Well then I am one of the very few blessed individuals in the world! But I don’t think so; there could be some valid and plausible explanation for it. There has to be!
As for alien base at Ladakh, no way guys, I see absolutely no way of logically believing in such reports. Even if aliens exist they would not care a hoot about us.
Here are some links if you want to look up the “Indian UFO” sites

Engels and hypnotism
A curious experiment by Freidrich Engels
came to my attention while browsing through some old papers. The subject was Hypnotism
Considering the knowledge base and the development in the subject since his time most of his observations may look inexact now. But yet there is something novel in Engels being interested in such subjects.
He was commenting on the experiments of Alfred Russell Wallace an eminent Zoologist and botanist of his time. In turn Wallace was influenced by the exploits of one Mr. Spencer Hall a mesmerist. Alfred Wallace was no mean figure in history. He had put forward the theory of evolution about the same time as Darwin . Darwin’s work caught public interest and Wallace’s work went largely unnoticed except in scientific circles. It is interesting to know that he was also into the occult and hypnotism. He states he was “intensely interested in the subject and pursued it with ardour”.
The ardour was evident in the manner he conducted his experiments. Engels reports that Wallace could produce magnetic sleep together with the phenomena of articular rigidity and local loss of sensation on his subjects. Wallace had further established his subject, merely by being touched partook of all the sensations in the operator. He made him drink a glass of water and made the man drunk by telling him that it was brandy. He could make one of the young men so stupid, even in waking condition, that he no longer knew his own name.
Engels in his characteristic style has inserted a comment here stating that “a feat , however, that other schoolmates are capable of accomplishing without any mesmerism.” Well the same holds true even now!
Now Engels had the occasion to see Mr. Hall at his mesmeric act in the winter of 1843-44. Let us hear what he thought of him. “He was a mediocre charlatan….and undertook magnetico-phrenological performances with a young woman in order to prove there by the existence of God, the immortality of the soul, and the incorrectness of materialism” He adds at the end of the sentence that “right at the top of the skull he discovered an organ of veneration, on toughing which his hypnotic miss sank to her knees, folded her hands in prayer, and depicted to the astonished, philistine audience an angel wrapt in veneration. That was the climax and conclusion of the exhibition. The existence of God has been proved.”
But Engels was intrigued no doubt, especially since it had immediate relevance in the social and political climate at that time. He and one of his acquaintances took the challenge and tried to reproduce the effects as far as possible in their own experiment. A wide awake boy of 12 years was found who was willing to assist them in the experiment and “Gently gazing into his eyes, or stroking sent him without difficulty into the hypnotic condition.” They were naturally not as “credulous” as Wallace they arrived at quite different results.
“ apart from muscular rigidity and loss of sensation, which were easy to produce, we found also a state of complete passivity of will bound up with a peculiar hypersensitivity of sensation……we also fabricated any amount of other organs, organs of singing , whistling, piping, dancing , boxing , sewing , cobbling, tobacco smoking etc, and we could make their seats wherever we wanted. Wallace made his patients drunk on water, but we discovered in the great toe an organ of drunkenness which only had to be touched in order to cause the finest drunken comedy to be enacted.. But it must be well understood, no organ showed a trace of action until the patient was given to understand what was expected of him; the boy soon perfected himself by practice that the merest indication sufficed. The organs produced in this way retained their validity for later occasions of putting to sleep, as long as they were not altered in the same way. The patient had indeed a double memory, one for the waking state and a second quite separate one for the hypnotic condition.”
Engels adds that the subjection of the will of the patient to that of the performer can only be produced with the assent of the subject and that “ the most powerful magician of a magnetiser in the world would come to the end of his resources as soon as his patient laughs him in his face.”
The essay was not really about Hypnotism at all. It was a comment on the fall of a scientist. Wallace later seems to have lost his way further by mingling with “mediums” and the spirit world.
Hypnotism has come a long way since the time of Engels. But most of his statements hold valid still. Their experiment clearly suggested that the programmed subject would retain induced states and experiences in his subconscious to be called up again. The “state of complete passivity of will bound up with a peculiar hypersensitivity of sensation” is what is being aimed at by the modern day “man managers” who use the technology to assist them in process. Once a person is thus programmed it is difficult to erase it without resorting to the same technique. The important difference of today’s hypno- programming is that it is being done indirectly and subliminally without the person being consciously aware of it. So the statement that “the most powerful magician of a magnetiser in the world would come to the end of his resources as soon as his patient laughs him in his face.” Would not hold true. Infect none of those being subjected to covert hypno- programming today are capable of laughing at their tormentors faces. They would probably feel like crying instead.
I know that there are still people who raise an eyebrow or hide a smirk when they listen to the stories of mentally invaded individuals. Yet ask them what they would like to drink “I prefer Coke “(or other brands) the reply invariably come without even a perceivable pause. There is human scanner at the web site of Mind Guard which let you know how many logo’s becomes a part of your being. It is all done in jest. But the reality is disturbing. You can be sensitized or programmed for any thing using the media.
Now your entire skin is going to be colonized too it seems.
Did Engels know that there were such pitfalls to progress?

Hunting tools
Well, when the heat of the situation really begins to get to the seat of your pants you sit up and take notice what is happening around you. Suddenly scales fall from your eyes and you are clear sighted. Your brain begins to pick up speed and show you things that you were hitherto not aware of.
You poor TI’s, you always knew that there were weapons like the ADS, the Active Denial System. But there was already an “active denial system” otherwise, that which actively denied the existence of such weapons. The potency of this machine was and is still so great that among a hundred bipeds( those we call the humans) ninety nine would remain in a state of blissful apathy towards what is happening in their midst. “Man, the trouble of it all!” Anyway what in the god’s name are they talking about, controlling minds, dude, did you hear the like? Like we are dumb, mind you, I been to Harvard (Oxford, Sorbonne, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) and ****ing boring too. Slogging like dummies. Who discovered the bloody world anyway?
It may be well to be complacent at least for the time being, at least till you are ravished mentally. Yeah I know the word has erotic connotations. And who says there aren’t such things in mind control. The popular terminology itself describes it thus. They are mentally doing it to you and you are sadly acknowledging the fact. For you belong to the minority that is facing the punishment but chastisement for what? None seems to know really.
But some seems to sense that it is happening. Dr. Kingsly Dennis is one. He is dry and he is non committal, but he is bothered. He is currently examining “physical–digital convergences and how these might impact upon social processes” and he is concerned “with the digital rendition of identity and the implications of surveillance technologies.”Hmmm. He surely belongs to the one percent of bipeds with something we call sensibility. And mighty scarce that is too.
He has written a paper on” New Instruments of Surveillance and Social Control: Wireless Technologies which Target the Neuronal Functioning of the Brain” Most of the things he points out to us are already well documented. May be he would do well to visit some mind control sites to learn more about the psycho-somatic impacts of invasive electronic technology which are currently in use. But this does not rob him of sincerity with which he has approached the problem. It may prove heavy reading and some what like regurgitation to some of you but nevertheless the paper is a fine one. It has also some information of interest. Like the bit about Microsoft’s patent on “‘Method and apparatus for transmitting power and data using the human body”
Here is an excerpt from his paper:
“In this patent Microsoft is granted exclusive rights to a technology that uses the electrical capacity of the human body to act as a computer network (Adam, 2004). Microsoft envisages ‘using the human skin’s conductive properties to link a host of electronic devices around the body, from pagers and personal data assistants (PDA) to mobile phones and microphones, although the company is uncharacteristically coy about exactly what it may have in mind’ (Adam, 2004). This supports what Bill Gates himself has said about the computer finally disappearing into the environment and the world around us (Gibson, 2005). This may be the ultimate wireless network, using the complete skin of the body, from fingers to toes, receiving and transmitting flows of information. The patent also proposes that an area of skin could even act as a keypad making a person capable of typing by tapping on their arm (Adam, 2004).”
Bill Gates himself has incidentally disappeared from Microsoft to surface in social work it seems. All the same the technology looks promising. If the heat in our bodies could be harnessed and used to charge and connect electronic gadgets it could be handy in saving power. But the other aspect is a bit worrying. To use the skins conductivity to link electronic devises around the body might prove disastrous to the carriers in more than one manner. There are already techniques to zap us of our energy and drain us out. It is a sort of Vampirism. There are said to be emotional vampires and energy vampires amongst us. This technology might make them more efficient. And another thing is every supposedly user friendly technology Microsoft had ever produced has had some catch in it. Their operating systems are always known to have mind control capabilities... The new invention would not be any better.
His reference to Panopticon (Jeremy Bentham’s plan of a prison where the guards can monitor prisoners without being seen) and Surveillance are also note worthy. In a society where the individual is threatened with all sorts of surveillance tools and designs, people have no other choice but to record the events of their life for either personal reference or to make others aware that this is being done to them. This is called inverse surveillance. This has an interesting beginning. In buildings fitted with all sorts of surveillance equipment, the guards usually behave strangely when they come in contact with a person entering the premises with some sort of monitoring devises which would give the secret away. This often led to conflicts and confrontations between the public and the guards.
This reaction of the guards may have something to do with the covert and illegal nature of the surveillance their firm is doing on public. What they are taught from childhood about other people’s rights might be causing internal conflicts on the poor sentries standing at their post. They are sub consciously aware that what is being done is wrong. At the same time they have an obligation towards their employers who are paying them. This creates conflicts. This can be exploited by conscious use of inverse surveillance tools.
There are several other interesting observations in the paper too. For example in the future “computers — pervasive and non–perceptible — will be seeded and woven throughout the environment. They will be painted onto walls, on furniture and objects, inside the body, ‘communicating with one another constantly and requiring no more power than that which they can glean from radio frequencies in the air’ (Schwartz, et al., 2006). Quantum researcher and physicist Stuart Wolf anticipates that the next two decades will usher in a type of communications he calls ‘network–enabled telepathy’. Despite the fanciful name the method basically involves wearable devices (such as a ‘quantum headband’) sharing identity and downloaded information with others in the person’s social network; and all driven by the power of thought alone. However, as Wolf points out, ‘it will probably take a new generation raised to think of quantum headbands as normal for its potential to be truly realized’ (Schwartz, et al., 2006). Yet Wolf isn’t alone in his thinking.”
This is not mere science fiction. At the rate of the development of technology these wonders may be in our lives even before we know it. The author says that the major technology in the future could be neurotechnology (we saw it coming didn’t we) .In conclusion he has this to say:
“Becoming wireless also means becoming increasingly immersed within an information–saturated environment. From the evidence of present trends and developments it seems likely that a greater systemic interconnectedness and interdependence is being formed between human–object–environment facilitated through and by information flows. This may herald the coming of a ‘wonderful wireless world’, yet it may also signal unforeseen dangers in protection, privacy, and security of the human biological body within these new relationships. It is the suggestion of this paper that such issues and concerns need to become more public, visible, and open; the very opposite of these technologies.”
I couldn’t agree more. But the doubt is would it be allowed. The structure of authority in the world is such that their basic concept of ruling is to terrorize public. It is a submissive society that they want. There are reports that the US, Canada, Britain, France and China (would you believe it!) are part of a global surveillance alliance. It has always been my belief that the governments the world over have started to view their public as their biggest enemy. An informed and reacting public is the last thing they want. They would prevent it from happening.
Dr. Kingsly Dennis is concerned and illuminative. Read his article at the following link:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8263

Bye passing the conscious
Igor Smirnov died in 2004. He did not get the Nobel price (Nobel for peace would have been very nice). He is very much the unsung hero of today’s good samaritans-the perps. Perhaps he would one day be known as the greatest revolutionary on earth, for he re-fashioned our ideas about the human mind and its vulnerabilities. He put forward the astounding idea that the conscious could be bypassed and the inner realm of the mind programmed while the individual is wide awake and is going about his business.
This was a remarkable achievement, it annulled all human legislations on freedom at one go. In fact it made all laws extinct, for law is only necessary where people have a will to choose their actions. Robots do not need any laws, they carry out instructions, and their responses are built in into their systems. They could be re-programmed, so could be humans Smirnov says. Here are the excerpts from an interview with the pioneer in the field of electronic mind control:
MK’s question: -“How is it possible to erase one's memory?”
Smirnov’s answer: “There exists an entire array of possible methods. Majority of them are psychochemical. Electroshock can also have the same effect on a person. However, nothing works better than the so-called semantic influence, when a person is given certain orders that he then executes without hesitation. Personally, I wouldn’t want to go into details on such matters. As a result of such “outside influence”, a person’s “self” gets totally blocked. Instead, another “self” is being created. That second identity in turn can have a number of various programmed urges, such as killing oneself.”
Would you deny the man the Nobel for peace? For, look here man, the Buddha had mistakenly assumed the “desire is the root cause of unhappiness”. He was not familiar with the technique of creating another “self” and programming it with various urges through “outside influences”. He sadly thought that the humans can make decisions for themselves. It seems that Christ was more to the point, when he intuitively cautioned “knock and it will be opened”. He certainly seems to have had late Mr. Smirnov in mind while saying that. Here is why, for there have been constant knockings at human mind since Smirnov’s time.
“I allow for the possibility that perpetrators can and do use such methods to manipulate one’s conscious for the purpose of creating terrorists-kamikazes,” stated Dr. Smirnov in his interview to MK. Professor Igor Smirnov was in fact the world’s first man to get into the human mind by means of a computer.”
Terrorist–kamikazes, merely terrorist-kamikazes? Man, he is humility itself, what about turning every one in the world dumb and mind controlled. He was not very modest in one of his exploits in the US. His help had been sought to end the stand off between the authorities and cult leader David Koresh. He proposed to inundate the cult members with scrambled sound blasted through loud speakers. This was to make the cult leader surrender. And this was what has been reported:
“But the FBI was put off by Smirnov's cavalier response to questions. When officials asked what would happen if the subliminal signals didn't work, Smirnov replied that Koresh's followers might slit each other's throats, Morris recounted. The FBI took a pass, and Smirnov returned to Moscow with his mind control technology.”
Mind you the FBI is not exactly angels in human form if reports could be believed. They might have preferred Koresh’s followers slitting each others throats, such experiments have been said to have performed by some of the covert agencies of US starting from MK Ultra. But the event was a highly publicized one. They had to “take a pass” in the circumstances. But they were aware of the value of Smirnov and his work if his own words could be believed. Here is what he had to say about the history of the technology and his involvement with the “American’s”:
“Similar methods have been born in Russia and American almost simultaneously; in Russia however, they emerged 9 months earlier. Our department at the institute was in fact the first in the world. American laboratory in Michigan however is our main rival nowadays. In 1993, Americans established a company especially for me; I am currently its board member. Due to my presumptions however, I refused to stay there for good. Many of my colleagues have immigrated a long time ago and now lead pretty comfortable lives there. Unfortunately, our inventions are not in high demand in Russia…”
Presumptions? May be he held socialism so near to his heart that he could not accept the bone(board membership at a company established “especially” for him) that was being thrown his way. But he always had implicit faith in his inventions. That comes out like a beacon in these words:
“Peoples’ actions can in fact be controlled by unnoticed acoustic influence. Look-it’s easy. All I have to do is record my voice, apply special coding, which converts my voice to mere noise and afterwards, all we have to do is record some music on top of that. The words are indistinguishable to your conscious; however, your unconscious can hear them clearly. If we were to play this music over and over again on the radio for instance, people will soon start developing paranoia. This is the simplest weapon.
An image can also be coded. After 12-14 minutes the information begins to get into one’s conscious. Our department is the only one in the world that possesses such instrument of informational war. However, no one seems to be interested in it.”
Woe to Russia, for not heeding to the advice of a pioneer in the field of cerebral colonization. Especially since “Many still remain rather doubtful about the fact that it is possible to affect one’s behavior while surpassing his conscious. In reality however, people have been doing this for a hundred years already.”
Well he is now no more. But his widow and long time collaborator in his researches Elena Rusalkina “predicts an "arms race" in psychotronic weapons. Such weapons, she asserts, are far more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
She pointed, for example, to a spate of Russian news reports about "zombies" -- innocent people whose memories had been allegedly wiped out by mind control weapons. She also claimed that Russian special forces contacted the institute during the 2003 Moscow theater siege, in which several hundred people were held hostage by Chechen militants.” She is running the Psychotechnology Research Institute after the death of her husband at a university in Russia.
Her prediction is recent but to those afflicted by the technology such an arms race has been going on for years among governments and other interested groups in the world.
At least give the man the Nobel posthumously. If you can’t give it for peace, well give it for science. You gave it to people like Bishop Tutu and Dalai Lama. Are they going to influence human history in the manner this man is going to do? You are dreaming!

Mind has no life
The western and Indian concepts of the mind proceeds from two different points of views. In the west mind is even now considered as a part of consciousness, while in the east especially in India since the time of Kapila, mind is known as an entity evolving out of matter and thus inert and controllable. It is categorized as an object without any properties of awareness(achethana). This is an important divergence. It has its uses in something that concerns us. More about it later , but let us consider what mind is according to the Samkya system.
This system is the most ancient of all the Indian systems of philosophy. Kapila's original work is no more available. The system is now known from its commentaries. The most well known of them is the “Samkya Karika” of Iswarakrishna the commentary bears strong atheist connotations.
The basic concept of the Samkya theory is that the universe evolves out of two primary substances. One is named the “Purusha” which could be roughly translated as “consciousness”. The other is called the “Prakriti” which again we may translate as “matter”. But it should be remembered that these concepts go much further than what we understand by matter and consciousness at present. But considering them thus somewhat lessens the complexities of getting an insight into the system.
I have a strange fascination for Kapila’s theory. It almost explains the beginning, existence and end of the universe without resorting to a prop called the god. He exhibits lucid reasoning and logic in outlining the system. Vivekananda once remarked that the more ancient the author the more precise and clear the views are. This is true in the case of Kapila.
After naming his primary substances he discusses their properties. The Purusha (consciousness) is the unmovable, changeless entity. It is not affected by anything and it can not be corrupted. It is somewhat like the “super soul” (paramatma) of Vedanta.
The Prakriti (matter) on the other hand has three qualities. They are the Satwa(Light) Rajas(Energy) and Thamas(mass). Please again remember that the terms in the brackets are given for the sake of clarity. It is easier to understand Kapila this way. These terms are not exact representations and in no way replaces the original concepts. He further states that Prakriti is atomic in its subtle state and thus can evolve (the big bang?). When the world is resolved within itself, all the three qualities of the Prakriti are contained within it and are equal. When these three qualities are so there is no manifestation and the Prakriti remains in a subtle atomic form...
According to Kapila the universe evolves in the following manner, in the beginning both consciousness and matter are in a un manifested state. World comes into being when the matter comes in the proximity of consciousness and consciousness is reflected in it. This is the most confusing of all the statements in the system (no wonder Sankara had to invent “Maya” the theory of Delusion to extricate himself from explaining this strange concept). According to Kapila Consciousness in no way directly influences this change in matter, but matter somehow is prompted into activity by the mere presence of consciousness and begins to come out of its un-manifested state. The first evolute of prakriti is mahat (primary blueprint of the world) which we may call an undifferentiated sense of being.
Because the mahat is an evolute of Prakriti (matter) with its three qualities mahat contains all these three qualities within it. And these qualities of mahat produce the following
Satwa (reflected Light) produces Ahamkara (“I” ness) and Antakarana (Inner vehicle)
Rajas (reflected Energy) produces Indria’s (Senses) and physical particles
Thamas (reflected Mass) produces Chitta vritti’s (mental activities)
Well you have guessed it. I can’t take the analogy any further!
Any way it was not my intention to compare the system to modern cosmology which would be absurd. But all the same I would have loved to investigate it further if it could in any manner produce a similarity in the concepts which would lessen the effort to study the system of thought in these times. But then Kapila plays a strange trick on the unsuspecting student. Further on in the theory he would say that Purusha is not single and is many. This is purely based on the fact that the experiences of no two individuals in the world are alike. When one is laughing some other is crying, when one is being born into the world another would be dying and leaving the world. We could not call them all the experience of a single entity.
Well, there are ways to reconcile these two concepts, the concept of the purusha causing the cosmic evolution and the multiplicity of purusha’s. It would take a little bit of explaining. Most of the other systems of philosophy in the land have made extensive use of Kapila’s work in arriving at their own different systems. The Samkyan astuteness is revered by all. So they had something going for them.
But our main concern is the difference in the concepts of mind among the western and Indian thinkers. I have shown that from Kapila onwards the Indians considered mind as an inanimate object and thus thought it is controllable. In fact it does not even figure among the first stratum of evolution given by Kapila, and evolution is wholly a “matter affair”, consciousness has nothing to do with it.
This is a valuable teaching. The system of Yoga as well as Vedanta is based on this concept. If the mind is no way linked with consciousness our effort to control it becomes easy. We can handle it like we handle any other object. We need not pay any heed to it even, because it is a mere vassal of consciousness. It is not the king we believe it to be. It is a servant and because of our own lack of understanding we have permitted it to control us, the conscious beings.
The moment we realize this fact controlling the mind becomes achievable. What is needed is shifting consciousness from the mind. We need to shift consciousness to itself and stop thinking that we are what the mind shows us to be.
I grant you that this is not easy. Years of practice of taking the mind as an animate entity would not become nullified all of a sudden. But knowing this you are armed against the tricks of the mind. You can start ordering it about its business. The mind has a strange quality; it assumes the shape of the thing it is allowed to get near. It would pose as consciousness if you allow it to be.
Divest it of the throne it has usurped and you are saved. Such a change in concept would arm you against any sort of mental invasion. Center yourself in your consciousness and order your mind to not to obey any one else. If you can once grasp the idea and execute it even the unconscious would do as you tell it let alone your subconscious mind.
Good luck with the practice.

The Yoga of Body
The value of Hatha Yoga is in that it attempts to control mind through the control of our physical body. Normally it is the other way round. Our mental states invariably affect our bodily states. When we are depressed our shoulders sag and our movements become sluggish and slow. We feel tired; our reactions tend to be off the mark. But when the period of depression is over there is a sudden change in the posture of our body. It straightens up, the droop in the shoulders is no more visible, there is a spring in our steps and confidence in our actions.
Most of the practices now associated with yoga do not really form any part of the original system of yoga, that of Pathanjali. The accent on physical conditioning as a way to reach the underlying reality originated much, much later. In fact the systems of Hatha Yoga is only about 600 or so years old, may be less. It came into being at a very dark period in the history of the land. It was the offspring of socio political conditions then prevalent in the land.
The Muslim rulers of the land paid scant respect to the old traditions of India. The majority was taxed heavily and their systems of belief were looked down upon. It was not easy to practice Higher practices of yoga, that of Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi at such turbulent times. The shame of being ruled by a few outsiders with superior physical power and mental of aggressiveness resulted in a covert attempt at bettering them in both spheres. The fruit of the labor was Hatha Yoga.
Both Hatha Yoga Pradeepika and Gheranda Samhita went to the other extreme of making the body invincible by adopting certain practices suited for it. Though it has brought out a revolutionary change in man’s approach to life, it has certain drawbacks too. By centering its philosophy on the preservation of the body it neglects the finer aspects of man’s persuasion, that of inquiring into the nature and meaning of truth.
Take the practice of pranayama for instance. Pathanjali had finished with pranayama in four aphorisms. To him it was just an outer limb of yoga. This was the case with postures too. But both were made into great sciences by Atmarama( Hatha Yoga Pradeepika) and Gheranda (Gheranda Samhitha). Mudras and Bandhas were their additions to the practice of yoga. These practitioners were after the coveted Sidhis of Yoga which were looked down upon by Pathanjali. Yet the benefits of practicing some of the exercises detailed in the above texts are undeniable.
Most of the practices prescribed by these two sages are difficult to master. And they can not be practiced without proper supervision. But yet there are some practices which might be adopted by any one without harm. One such practice is Kapalabhathi. Three Kapalabhathi techniques are given in Gheeranda Samhitha which may be of use to everybody concerned about their health. I shall give them below one by one.
1. Vamakarma Kapalabhathi
In this the air is taken in through the left nostril and released through the right nostril and then the reverses. Take in through the right and release through the left. Breathing must be done slowly.
This exercise clears the nasal passages and the lungs of any pollutants.
2.Vyutkrama Kapalabhathi
Draw in water slowly through your nostrils by dipping your nose in a bowl of water. It will go into your mouth. Let it out and repeat the exercise.
It cools the head down and is thus beneficial for those whose heads and body heats up every now and then
2. Sheetkrama Kapalabhathi
This is not an easy exercise. You will have to draw in water with a sharp intake of sound through the mouth and release it through your nose. I present this for the sake of information and would not advise its practice. If practiced well it has beneficial effects on your entire appearance. The text says that it would make you young (you will be like Eros the text says) and eliminate the incidence of fever.
It is said in the book that by practicing these three together your body comes under your control and you remain healthy for ever.
Though these are called pranayama they do not involve the technique of holding the air in. Other than cleansing the body and making it healthy these simple exercises have no other purpose what so ever. Every one can practice them and reap the benefits.

Sheethali , Sheethkari and Bramari
Most of the techniques of Pranayama involves other practices of yoga with them. Some of these practices require a definite amount of training too. This is why I have been reluctant to suggest Pranayama for relief from electromagnetic harassment, though certain of the techniques would have been beneficial to the sufferers. There are other considerations also. A few of the techniques should never be practiced by people with certain physical afflictions.
Yet these techniques are extremely effective in reducing stress, refreshing the brain and infusing your system with energy. I had suggested Sheethali Pranayama for those who find their body heating up due to the effects of microwave radiation. It is a simple process involving the intake of air through the open mouth and releasing it through your nostrils. It immediately cools the body down. Polluted environments might not be very suitable for it and of course the practitioners of modern medicine would not be very pleased with the experiment. They would be right in a way too, mouth is not a part of the respiratory process, and what about dust particles and such materials which are supposed to be filtered by the nostrils and sinuses.
Well, a bit of exercise would convince them that the mouth occasionally functions as a part of our breathing apparatus too.
It is true what the doctors tell you. Our nostrils function like a good air-conditioning system. The nostrils help to “condition” the air to relate to your body temperature and infuse the air with the right amount of moisture before it reaches the lungs. Also mucus membrane extends from the nose to the innermost parts of the lungs and most germs are trapped by it and die.
So you need to breathe through your nostrils at all times. All the sages who taught pranayama have emphasized the importance of breathing through the nose, and most of the paranayama practices are nose centered with the exception of the Sheethali and Sheethkari Pranayama’s.
I had only given the bare essentials of Sheethali pranayama in a previous post I wrote about the practice. Actually the real practice consists of taking in the air through the tip of the tongue ( holding the tongue like you do when you whistle) and filling your stomach with air( remember the advise “ breathe from the abdomen” that is what filling the stomach is all about). Gheranda Samhita states that this pranayama corrects the problems of digestive processes and repairs nerve and bodily fluids (Vatha and Pitha dosha). I do not know where you can obtain the book on the net but I think there is a mention of its publication some where at this site.

There are not many references about these techniques on the net. But you may want to download this pdf file.
http://www.ashtanga.at/pdfs/SheshadriPranayama.pdf
None of the techniques described in it are harmful if not done in excesses. Even Jalandhara Bandha is easy to perform though it has a high sounding name. Sheethkari might also be of help to cool down the body. For the special purpose that I am suggesting these practices, that is to cool the body down when it is heated up by environmental or directed radiation, you need not even sit in a special posture and hold your breath (kumbaka). You can do sheethali at any time and in any posture without kumbaka.
The nadi shudhi (given as nadi shodana in the pdf file) pranayama is also good. Without holding the air in you can do it as many times as you want, but try to stick to the number suggested.
But the first one, the “bastrika” is not that easy. If you practice it in excesses it might make you giddy. There is bit of force involved in the practice and I would not advise it very much.
But cooling the body down is not enough is it? When you are mentally zapped by destructive energies flowing in to you non stop, you need some technique to rejuvenate your brain and thus your mind.
Well, there is one more technique which would have been beneficial for those who are suffering from energy depletion in brain due to harassment( or in general for everyone), but as I mentioned at the beginning of this post it involves another important yogic practice with it. The pranayama is called the Bramari pranayama. You need to sit somewhere in a relaxed position keeping your spine straight to do this practice. Sent out your breathe with closed eyes and fill the air in after two seconds. Now comes the difficult and tricky part. You need to contain the air inside while doing “moola bandha”. Moolabandha is “the drawing up of the pelvic floor”- confused? Well, what you do when you need to go to the toilet and you can’t do that just then? You clamp down on the muscles in the “sensitive” region and on most occasions’ draws them up. This is what moola bandha is all about, constricting anal muscles and drawing them up into you.
In Bramari pranayama you have to hold the air inside and do the moola bandha at the same time. It is difficult, but can be done. Remain thus for about three seconds and then placing both the pointing fingers of your hands inside your ears to shut them release the moola bandha and the air with a faint sound like the humming of a bee . Concentrate only on the sound. When the airs is fully expelled take your fingers away and then start another one.
The humming sound will enter your brain and energize and awaken it, it will also reduce hypertension and the numbness in the brain. It eliminates fear, anxiety and anger. It gives you a good voice. It is a great technique towards mental health if you can practice it consistently.
Well these are some techniques I thought of, they might help you to overcome DEW based harassment.
