Thinking Hard

Now, I have been thinking hard about life for the last few days, little wonder nothing has come out.

Natural, no doubt.

Life is such an enigma, but what is an enigma?

You had me there mate. That stumps me. Some say, it’s a riddle, puzzle, or mystery (You see it is not like of old. I have access to thesauruses). Well what are those?

Again I got stumped there. I did not ever get stumped when I was playing cricket. I was pretty street smart to do that.

Not that the wicket keepers didn’t try, they did, but I was too fast for them. I rarely left the crease, and when I did I got my bat on to the ball every time.

I was a smart player of the spin.

For those who don’t know, it’s a weird sort of bowling people do on a cricket field. In after life they would have very crooked fingers.

Check on Subramaniam Chandrasekhar. He got his entire arm crooked bowling spin. Damn dangerous stuff to indulge in for a long time.

Well I was talking about life and word meanings wasn’t I? What has it to do with cricket?

Everything my man, everything.

Have you played cricket? If you haven’t you don’t know that it’s a game of dame luck.

Well who is this dame?

It’s the personification of the weird factor which influences some of our lives. It is severally described as chance, circumstances, accidents that turn the course of our lives.

You need luck to be a good cricket player, and you need luck to live your lives. See the similarity? If you haven’t, then meditate, contemplate, and regurgitate.

The last word had me in an agitation. I seem to have seen it somewhere.

I know the meaning. But have forgotten it now.

Really it is so exasperating, I don’t think that I can repeat it again, maybe it is good to go over everything that we learned, to restate our words, to reiterate or rehearse once more what we have to say before doing it again. It might be like a recital of some sort.

Say again?

You mean whatever am I talking about?

Good question. As I have no answer for that I am signing off for now. ; )
